BANGKA BARAT,PERKARANEWS.COM – Rizaldi alias Ijal, mantan narapidana yang baru-baru ini menjadi saksi dalam sidang Mahkamah Konstitusi (MK), ternyata memiliki latar belakang yang jauh berbeda dari yang diungkapkan oleh Dosen Universitas Bangka Belitung (UBB) Ranto MA.
Ijal ternyata seorang hafiz Al-Quran di Bangka Barat dan pernah mendirikan pesantren Al-Taubah di dalam Lembaga Pemasyarakatan (Lapas) Muntok, yang pertama kali di Indonesia.
Kabar ini sontak mengejutkan banyak pihak. Salah satu alumni Gontor, Rosidin, menyayangkan pernyataan Ranto MA yang dinilai merendahkan Ijal.
“Sebagai pendidik (Dosen UBB, red), namun tak mendidik. Ini sama halnya membunuh karakter seseorang, seorang dosen tak paham apa arti dari seorang saksi. Dua hal yang berbeda antara saksi dan latar belakang saksi, harus diluruskan ini barang,” tegas Rosidin.
Mantan narapidana Rutan Muntok, Adi, juga memberikan kesaksian tentang kebaikan Ijal selama di lapas.
“Di dalam Lapas, Ijal banyak berbuat baik dan mengajarkan akhlak serta ilmu agama bagi kami warga binaan dengan adanya pesantren di dalam lapas Muntok,” ungkapnya.
Adi merasa kecewa dengan pemberitaan yang hanya melihat Ijal sebagai mantan napi tanpa mengetahui apa yang telah diperbuatnya selama menjalani masa tahanan.
“Walaupun mantan napi, tapi Ijal adalah orang baik dan banyak warga binaan yang belajar mengaji dan agama Islam dengannya,” ujarnya.
Reaksi publik terhadap kasus ini semakin meluas. Banyak yang meminta agar Ranto MA diberikan sanksi atas perbuatannya yang dianggap merendahkan hak asasi manusia (HAM).(Yuko)
