PANGKALPINANG,PERKARANEWS – Peringatan Hari Ulang Tahun Polisi Kehutanan (HUT Polhut) Tahun 2024 kembali digelar. Penjabat (Pj) Sekretaris Daerah (Sekda) Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Kep. Babel) Fery Afriyanto bertindak sebagai Inspektur Upacara yang bertempat di Halaman Kantor Dinas Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan (DLHK) Provinsi Kep. Babel, Selasa(24/12/2024).
Dalam penyampaian amanat Menteri Kehutanan RI, Pj Sekda Fery menyampaikan apresiasi untuk seluruh Polisi Hutan, sesuai dengan tema HUT Polhut kali ini yaitu ‘Bhakti Wirawana-Wana Wibawa’ yang berarti untuk mengingat dharma bakti mereka dalam menjaga kelestarian ekosistem sumber daya alam hutan dan keanekaragaman hayati yang terkandung di dalamnya, dalam kerangka pengelolaan hutan yang lestari dan berkeadilan.
“Betapa pentingnya keberanian dan ketangguhan setiap insan Polhut dalam mengemban peran dan tugas pengabdian kepada Nusa dan Bangsa dalam segala situasi dan kondisi apapun,” ujar Pj Sekda Fery.
Disadari, Polhut banyak menghadapi ancaman dan bahaya selama menjalankan tugas. Risiko kerap mengancam secara nyata termasuk kehilangan nyawa sekalipun. Dan hal ini juga terkait dengan jumlah jumlah Polhut yang tidak sebanding
dengan beban kerja Polhut dalam menjaga kawasan hutan.
“Saya juga telah menginstruksikan di unit-unit kerja Kementerian Kehutanan, untuk
terus mengupayakan pemenuhan formasi Polhut melalui rekrutmen pegawai, pendayagunaan lulusan SMK Kehutanan serta partisipasi dan pelibatan Masyarakat Mitra Polhut (MMP),” jelas Pj Sekda Fery saat membacakan sambutan Menhut.
Pada momen ini, ia menekankan peran penting Polhut Babel dalam menjaga kelestarian ekosistem hutan Babel dan terus bersemangat mengoptimalkan pengawasan terhadap hutan.
“Mari kita terus hayati peran dan tugas melalui aksi-aksi nyata mewujudkan pengelolaan hutan yang lestari sekaligus
perlindungan ekosistem sumber daya alam demi masa depan Bumi Indonesia yang lebih baik,” ujarnya.
Mengakhiri sambutan, Pj Sekda Fery kembali berpesan untuk mengutamakan tugas-tugas di lapangan terutama tugas Polhut, dan hendaknya berkolaborasi dengan semua pihak yg ada lingkup di provinsi ini.
“Saya berharap semua diberi kelancaran dalam menjalankan tugas dan tetap terjaganya hutan yg ada di Bangka Belitung ini,”tutupnya.(Yuko)
