JAKARTA,PERKARANEWS — Sebagai salah satu bentuk hormat dan cinta pada leluhur, Trah Sultan Hamengkubuwono II berencana membuat film yang diangkat dari kisah hidup, dan perjuangan dari Sultan Sepuh atau Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono II (Sultan HB II). Selain film, Trah Sultan HB II bersama ARSA Pictures, juga akan mengadakan sarasehan nasional tentang kebudayaan, dan sejarah pada masa abad ke-18.
Kedua rencana kegiatan itu diadakan sebagai langkah dan upaya diplomasi, yang telah dilakukan kepada pihak Pemerintahan Inggris, supaya mengembalikan harta benda dan karya-karya bernilai sejarah tinggi milik dari Sultan HB II yang telah dirampas Inggris ketika Geger Sepehi 1812. Demikian pernyataan dari salah satu perwakilan keluarga Trah Sultan HB II, Fajar Bagoes Poetranto kepada media, Sabtu (23/12/2023).
Sarasehan Kebudayaan dan sejarah lebih mengarah ke pembahasan manuskrip kuno yang berkhazanah Keraton Yogyakarta.
“Acara ini akan banyak membicarakan manuskrip kuno dan mengungkap sejarah berdirinya Keraton Yogyakarta,” kata Bagoes Poetranto.
Sementara itu, untuk pembuatan film agar lebih membuka wawasan bagi generasi saat ini.
“Kami berharap melalui film dapat membuka cakrawala berpikir dari anak bangsa agar menghargai perjuangan para leluhurnya di masa lampau dalam mempertahankan Nusantara, khususnya tanah Jawa dari pendudukan bangsa penjajah,” kata Bagoes.
Pernyataan yang diungkapkan Bagoes disepakati Suharno, penulis skenario film The King of Nusa. Film ini, katanya, akan mengisahkan perjalanan hidup dan perjuangan Raja Yogyakarta Sultan Hamengkubuwono II.
“Film The King of Nusa ini bergenre Science fiction, Adventure Dan Historycal akan menggunakan teknologi efek visual CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) 3D yang menurut Technical Directornya Iwangsa Yudianto akan menggunakan sekitar 100 orang ahli CGI. Film ini berkisah tentang pengkhianatan, cinta, dan perjuangan Sultan HB II yang memiliki jiwa nasionalisme anti terhadap penjajahan asing. Keberanian beliau akan kami tampilkan dalam cerita tersebut. Keberanian untuk menolak tunduk terhadap aturan yang diterapkan bangsa asing di Yogyakarta, beliau lakukan untuk melindungi rakyat, dan tanah Yogyakarta khususnya,” jelas Suharno yang memiliki nama pena Sabda Pewaris Nusantara & Surya Kelana.
Perjuangan Sinuhun Sultan HB II sebagai raja dan seorang tokoh anak bangsa yang berjiwa patriotisme, selalu konsisten dalam perjuangan menentang penjajahan kolonialisme. Selain itu, ia tiga kali naik turun tahta sebagai raja akan terlihat dalam film tersebut nanti. Ini dapat menjadi pemacu semangat dari kalangan generasi muda untuk rela membela kebenaran, dan mempertahankan hak yang telah dimiliki.
Ditegaskan Suharno lagi, film ini berbalur dengan kisah historiografi klasik dari Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono II yang laik menjadi suri teladan, karena bukan hanya sekadar tontonan, namun film ini juga sekaligus memberikan tuntunan untuk generasi muda milenial, bahwa betapa pentingnya membekali diri sedini mungkin dengan jati diri, dan identitas kebangsaan yang jelas.
Sehingga, hal ini menjadi benteng pertahanan seni budaya dan tradisi yang nyata, dan mampu memberikan kontribusi di masa depan terhadap Indonesia di tengah serbuan kebudayaan hedonisme, dan neoliberalisme yang begitu dahsyat terjadi saat ini.
“Kita juga ingin misteri dari Serat Suryo Rojo dapat terungkap pula dalam film ini. Sebagai seorang raja, beliau telah menorehkan sejarah emas pemerintahannya dengan memberi arti atas keselamatan, kebahagiaan dan kehormatan bagi rakyat,” ujarnya.
Melalui Film The King Of Nusa, penonton akan kembali mengenang suatu peristiwa penyerbuan Keraton Yogyakarta yang dilakukan oleh Inggris pada 19-20 Juni 1812 untuk menggulingkan Sultan Hamengkubuwana II yang menolak bekerja sama. Nama sepehi berasal dari pasukan Sepoy yang dipekerjakan oleh Inggris untuk menyerang keraton. Penyerbuan ini melibatkan 1.200 prajurit Inggris, dan Sepoy, serta dibantu oleh 800 prajurit legiun.
Penyerangan tersebut mengakibatkan banyak keluarga Keraton Yogyakarta yang tewas, antara lain salah satu dari ketiga menantu sultan (KRT Sumadiningrat, panglima pasukan keraton) dan ratu Keraton. Saat pasukan Inggris berhasil mengepung kedhaton (pusat keraton), Sultan Hamengkubuwana II ditangkap dengan berpakaian serba putih. Seluruh perhiasan di tubuh sultan dan rombongannya dilucuti oleh pasukan Inggris.
Berdasarkan Babad Bedhah ing Yogyakarta, sebuah babad yang ditulis pada pertengahan Juni 1812 hingga pertengahan Mei 1816, penjarahan keraton berlangsung selama lebih dari empat hari. Babad ini menceritakan bagaimana arus barang jarahan terus mengalir tanpa henti menuju ke kediaman residen yang diangkut menggunakan gerobak-gerobak yang ditarik sapi dan digotong portir.
Pasukan Inggris menjarah keraton, dan mengambil naskah-naskah yang tersimpan untuk dibawa ke Inggris. Jumlah naskah-naskah yang dibawa diperkirakan lebih dari 7500 buah. Naskah-naskah tersebut seperti daftar-daftar kepemilikan tanah, dan berbagai manuskrip.
Selain itu, perhiasan, keris, ribuan ton emas, perangkat alat musik di dalam keraton diangkut ke kediaman residen menggunakan pedati, dan kuli-kuli panggul. Tidak hanya itu, uang perbendaharaan milik keraton juga dikuasai dan diambil oleh Raffles. Beberapa literatur menuliskan bahwa uang yang diambil adalah sebesar 500.000 gulden.
