PANGKALPINANG, PERKARANEWS.COM — Steering Committee (SC) atau Panitia Pelaksa Kongres Persatuan PWI 2025, resmi menetapkan Daftar Pemilih Tetap (DPT) yang akan menjadi dasar sah dalam proses pemilihan Ketua Umum pada Kongres Persatuan PWI di BPPTIK Komdigi, Cikarang, Kabupaten Bekasi, 29-30 Agustus mendatang.
Dalam kontestasi tersebut, Persatuan Wartawan Indonesia (PWI), Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Babel), tercatat memiliki dua hak suara. Jumlah tersebut, sama seperti pada Kongres PWI sebelumnya di Bandung.
Ketua SC, Zulkifli Gani Ottoh, menegaskan bahwa penggunaan DPT hasil Kongres Bandung, merupakan jalan tengah yang adil dan sudah melalui pembahasan menyeluruh.
“Kita ingin menjaga suasana perdamaian yang sudah terbentuk. DPT ini digunakan secara sah pada Kongres sebelumnya dan menjadi dasar yang kuat agar tidak terjadi lagi sengketa di masa depan,” terang Zulkifli Gani Ottoh.
Sementara, Ketua PWI Babel, Mohammad Fathurrakhman, menegaskan bahwa dalam kontestasi tersebut, pihaknya tidak sekadar hadir sebagai peserta, melainkan membawa mandat dari anggota.
“Kami akan gunakan dua hak suara yang dimiliki secara optimal dalam Kongres Persatuan mendatang,” ujar pria yang akrab disapa Boy itu, dalam keterangan yang diterima, Kamis (7/8/2025) malam.
“Ini bukan sekadar soal memilih, tetapi bagaimana suara dari Babel bisa memberikan dampak positif bagi kemajuan PWI ke depannya,” sambungnya
Lebih lanjut Boy menerangkan, terkait teknis keberangkatan, saat ini masih dalam tahap pembahasan bersama jajaran pengurus. Koordinasi intensif, lanjutnya, terus dilakukan guna memastikan keikutsertaan PWI Babel dalam kontestasi tersebut dapat berjalan lancar dan tertib.
Mengakhiri pernyataannya, Boy berharap, hasil Kongres Persatuan PWI 2025 nantinya akan membawa arah baru yang positif bagi keberlangsungan organisasi profesi kewartawanan tertua di Indonesia tersebut.
“Konflik yang terjadi tentu berdampak pada jalannya roda organisasi, termasuk ke daerah. Beberapa program penting PWI Bangka Belitung belum bisa dilaksanakan karena situasi belum kondusif,” ujarnya.
“Semoga selesai kongres, kita bisa kembali fokus menjalankan agenda-agenda organisasi,” tukasnya.
