Kasus 9,25 Ton Timah Ilegal di Mentok, Berkas Perkara dan Tersangka Dilimpahkan ke Kejaksaan Mentok

PANGKALPINANG,PERKARANEWS.COM– Kasus penyelundupan ratusan keping balok timah ilegal seberat 9,25 ton di Pelabuhan Tanjung Kalian Mentok, Kabupaten Bangka Barat, pada pertengahan Desember 2024 lalu memasuki babak baru.

Berkas perkara dan dua orang tersangka, EDP (23) dan AAD (25), beserta barang bukti telah dilimpahkan ke Kejaksaan Negeri Mentok. Kabar tersebut disampaikan oleh Kabid Humas Polda Babel, Kombes Pol Fauzan Sukmawansyah, pada Jumat (14/2/2025) sore.

“Ya, informasi dari penyidik Ditreskrimsus, kasusnya saat ini sudah masuk ke tahap dua. Kemarin malam, berkas kedua tersangka dan barang bukti sudah diserahkan ke sana,” kata Fauzan.

Sebelumnya, kedua tersangka diserahkan kepada Jaksa Penuntut Umum (JPU) di Kejaksaan Tinggi Babel untuk pemeriksaan. Setelah berkas dinyatakan lengkap, keduanya beserta barang bukti dibawa ke Kejari Mentok.

“Untuk kedua tersangka kini ditahan di Lapas Mentok, sedangkan barang bukti timah balok dan lainnya dititipkan di gudang penyimpanan Peltim Mentok Bangka Barat,” pungkasnya.

Seperti diberitakan sebelumnya, Ditreskrimsus Polda Babel berhasil menggagalkan penyelundupan ratusan keping balok timah ilegal seberat 9,25 ton di Pelabuhan Tanjung Kalian Mentok pada Minggu (15/12/2024) pagi.

Timah ilegal tersebut rencananya akan diselundupkan keluar wilayah Bangka, disimpan di dalam fiber, dan diangkut menggunakan truk bernomor polisi BN 8382 QC. Dalam pengungkapan tersebut, polisi juga mengamankan seorang sopir berinisial EDP (23), warga Desa Pagarawan, Kecamatan Merawang, Kabupaten Bangka.(Yuko/Rils)
