KUNDUR,PERKARANEWS – Rangkaian peringatan Hari Lingkungan Hidup Sedunia di PT Timah Tbk terus berlanjut. Kali ini dilaksanakan di Division Area Kundur yang melaksanakan apel hingga membersihkan pantai pada Rabu (4/6/2025).
Division Area Kundur PT Timah menggelar berbagai rangkaian Peringatan Hari Lingkungan Hidup Sedunia yang diawali dengan apel bersama, penanaman pohon cemara dan juga membersihkan sampah plastik di Kawasan Pantai Teluk Dalam, Kabupaten Karimun, Provinsi Riau.
Sebelumnya, Division Area Bangka Utara PT Timah juga telah menggelar apel peringatan Hari Lingkungan Hidup Sedunia yang dilaksanakan pada Senin (2/6/2025) lalu.
Apel peringatan Hari Lingkungan Hidup Sedunia tahun 2024 di Division Area Kundur PT Timah dipimpin oleh Division Head Area Kundur Wiyono yang diikuti karyawan dan Penanggung Jawab Operasional KIP mitra.
Pada tahun 2025 ini, United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) telah menetapkan tema global Hari Lingkungan Hidup yakni ‘Ending Plastic Pollution, atau “Hentikan Polusi Plastik’
Selain itu, dalam momen Peringatan Hari Lingkungan Hidup Sedunia ini Division Area Kundur PT Timah juga mengajak dan mengedukasi untuk mengurangi penggunaan sampah plastik melalui berbagi platform seperti email dan pamflet.
Departement Head Corporate Communication PT Timah Tbk, Anggi Siahaan mengatakan rangkaian peringatan Hari Lingkungan Hidup Sedunia dilaksanakan di beberapa wilayah operasional.
“PT Timah terus berkomitmen untuk melaksanakan pengelolaan lingkungan yang berkelanjutan. Dalam momen peringatan hari lingkungan hidup ini, perusahaan melaksanakan sejumlah kegiatan dalam bentuk gerakan bersama untuk mendukung pengurangan sampah plastik seperti kegiatan bersih-bersih pantai dan memungut sampah plastik,” kata Anggi.
Menurut Anggi, program pengelolaan lingkungan hidup yang dilakukan PT Timah dilaksanakan secara berkelanjutan seperti melaksanakan reklamasi, penghijauan, efisiensi energi, menggunakan energi baru terbarukan dalam proses bisnis perusahaan.
“Menjaga keseimbangan ekosistem adalah tanggung jawab bersama, perusahaan melaksanakan penambangan berkelanjutan dengan memperhatikan aspek lingkungan,” ucapnya.(Yuko)
