PANGKALPINANG,PERKARANEWS – Fakta baru kembali terungkap dalam kasus penyelundupan pasir timah yang ditangani Ditreskrimsus Polda Bangka Belitung di Desa Gantung, Kabupaten Belitung Timur beberapa waktu lalu. Setelah menetapkan S selaku pemilik pasir timah sebagai tersangka, penyidik Ditreskrimsus Polda Babel kembali menetapkan satu tersangka baru.
Terkait penetapan tersangka baru ini, Kabid Humas Polda Bangka Belitung, Kombes Pol Fauzan Sukmawansyah, memberikan keterangan langsung. “Ya benar. Dari hasil pengembangan penyidik, ada penetapan tersangka baru, yakni berinisial DW alias Weli pada Rabu, 19 Februari 2025,” kata Fauzan, Jumat (21/2/25) malam.
Tersangka DW alias Weli, menurut Fauzan, diketahui berperan sebagai orang yang menjual pasir timah kepada tersangka awal berinisial S yang sebelumnya diamankan pada akhir Januari lalu. Hasil pengembangan menunjukkan bahwa tersangka DW alias Weli telah melakukan penjualan sebanyak dua kali pengiriman kepada tersangka S.
“Jadi, DW alias Weli ini adalah penjual atau penyuplai barang pasir timah ke tersangka S. Sudah dua kali dilakukan pada Desember tahun lalu,” jelas Fauzan.
Saat ini, tim penyidik dari Ditreskrimsus Polda Babel telah melakukan penahanan terhadap tersangka DW alias Weli untuk pemeriksaan lebih lanjut. Sebelumnya, penyidik Ditreskrimsus Polda Babel telah menetapkan S sebagai tersangka dalam kasus dugaan tindak pidana penyelundupan pasir timah di Belitung Timur.
Penetapan S sebagai tersangka dilakukan setelah penyidik berhasil mengamankan ratusan karung yang diduga berisi pasir timah dalam kondisi kering di sebuah perkebunan di Kecamatan Damar, Kabupaten Beltim, pada Minggu (2/2/25) sore.
Kasus ini terus dikembangkan oleh pihak kepolisian untuk mengungkap jaringan penyelundupan pasir timah yang lebih luas di wilayah Bangka Belitung.(MJ01)
