MTI Pangkalpinang Hadirkan Teknologi VR Pertama di Asia, Pengunjung Bisa Rasakan Sensasi Sedang Berada di Kapal Keruk Singkep 1

Pangkalpinang,PerkaraNews.com -Musuem Timah Indonesia (MTI) Pangkalpinang terus melakukan inovasi untuk menarik kunjungan wisatawan ke Museum Timah pertama di Asia ini.

Tahun ini, MTI Pangkalpinang menghadirkan teknologi Virtual Reality (VR). Dengan adanya teknologi VR ini, para pengunjung yang menggunakan VR bisa merasakan sensasi seperti sedang berada di kapal keruk.

Melalui teknologi VR para pengunjung bisa menelisik masuk ke berbagai ruangan yang ada di kapal keruk sebagai salah satu alat penambangan timah di laut. Kapal keruk yang ditampilkan yakni Kapal Keruk Singkep 1.

Dengan teknologi VR ini penggunanya seolah-seolah berada di kapal keruk di tengah laut, memilih ruangan yang dikunjungi seperti ruang kemudi, ruang rapat dan melihat proses produksi timah yang dilakukan kapal keruk.

Kepala MTI Pangkalpinang, Taufik mengatakan saat ini mereka memiliki dua unit VR yang bisa digunakan para pengunjung. Melalui teknologi VR ini mereka ingin pengunjung merasakan saat berada di Kapal Keruk.

“Saat ini baru ada dua alat VR, ini memang masih terbatas karena alatnya masih dua. Tapi kalau untuk yang kunjungan ramai, biasanya satu orang yang menggunakan VR yang lainnya bisa ikut menyaksikan di layar televisi karena ini saling tekoneksi,” ucap Taufik.

Ia menyebutkan, dengan kehadiran teknologi VR di MTI Pangkalpinang membuat para pengunjung tidak hanya mengetahui sejarah dan teknologi penambangan timah saja. Tapi bisa merasakan langsung melihat proses penambangan di kapal keruk.

“Saat ini baru ada satu video tentang kapal keruk KK Singkep 1 yang bisa disaksikan, karena ini juga baru di tahun 2023 ini. Kedepan kita juga berencana untuk perbanyak videonya lagi,” katanya.

Selain menghadirkan VR, MTI Pangkalpinang juga memiliki studio mini, di studio ini para pengunjung bisa menyaksikan berbagai video seperti proses penambangan timah di darat maupun di laut, reklamasi PT Timah Tbk.

Saat ini, kata Taufik antusias para pengunjung yang datang ke MTI Pangkalpinang cukup tinggi, dalam satu hari MTI Pangkalpinang bisa dikunjungi ratusan orang seperti pelajar, wisatawan maupun masyarakat umum.

“Masuk MTI Pangkalpinang gratis dan MTI Pangkalpinang telah menjadi salah satu tempat belajar luar kelas bagi sekolah-sekolah. Sehingga banyak pelajar mulai dari TK hingga mahasiswa datang ke sini,” tandas Taufik. (R5/RLS)
