PANGKALPINANG,PERKARANEWS.COM– Ketua Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) Kota Pangkalpinang, Sobarian, kembali menjadi sorotan tajam publik dan insan pers. Rapat Pleno pengundian dan penetapan nomor urut pasangan calon Walikota dan Wakil Walikota Pangkalpinang pada Pilkada Ulang Tahun 2025 yang seharusnya menjadi ajang transparansi, justru diwarnai dugaan pembatasan liputan media. Sejumlah awak media melayangkan protes keras, merasa diabaikan dan hanya media tertentu saja yang diperbolehkan meliput acara krusial tersebut.
Insiden ini sontak memicu tanda tanya besar. Pasalnya, KPU Pangkalpinang pada Pilkada sebelumnya justru menuai kritik karena minimnya partisipasi masyarakat. Namun kini, alih-alih merangkul, mereka terkesan membatasi akses publik, khususnya media, yang notabene adalah corong utama sosialisasi.
Salah satu wartawan senior, yang akrab disapa Pak Yudi Kudok, mengungkapkan kekecewaannya. “Kami dari tadi tidak ada membatasi ya, karena memang…Media bisa langsung dikonfirmasi tadi, ya mungkin Pak Yudi Kudok ini ya, yang saya akrab dipanggil ini, mungkin tidak melakukan wawancara di depan sana. “Hingga setelah selesai penomor urut baru, dan kami pun ngambil foto, beritanya pun kita udah terbit ya dari orang lain. Seperti apa, apa ingin KPU ini untuk pilkada ulang ini, seperti apa?” lanjut Yudi Kudok dengan nada kecewa.
Menanggapi hal tersebut, Sobarian justru melontarkan pernyataan bernada defensif. “Kalau Pak Yudi ini tidak ingin sekadar ini berantakan, ya bantu sosialisasi. Jangan terkesan Pak Yudi yang ingin memberantakannya. Karena perihal ini sudah kita ada konferensi pers di depan,” dalih Sobarian.
Ia menegaskan, “Dan di depan itu dipersilakan seluruh awak media untuk melakukan konferensi pers.” Namun, pernyataan ini kembali dibantah wartawan, “Kita tunggu depan ya. Kapan Pak? Kapan Pak? Dia tahu kami Pak. Kami itu duduk di siap. Masuk di depan ini. Tidak tahu sama sekali pak. Ditutup mobil mungkin. Komunikasi Anda kurang, Bapak.”
Ketika ditanya komunikasi ke siapa, Sobarian menjawab, “Ini yang buat media teman-teman kalian semua kan?” dijawab serentak, “Bukan Pak, kami tidak tahu Pak kelompok-kelompok mana yang dipakai.”
Fakta mengejutkan terungkap, hanya 15 media yang diundang secara resmi untuk meliput acara tersebut. Padahal, di Kota Pangkalpinang, banyak media yang selama ini aktif membantu KPU Pangkalpinang dalam mensosialisasikan tahapan Pilkada Ulang tanpa meminta bayaran atau MoU kerjasama.
”Dan media yang hanya diundang 15 media saja padahal di Pemkot Pangkalpinang banyak selama ini membantu KPU Pangkalpinang dalam mensosialisasikan tahapan pilkada ulang tanpa meminta bayaran atau MoU kerjasama selama berlangsungnya tahapan pilkada ulang di kota Pangkalpinang,” ungkap salah satu jurnalis yang enggan disebutkan namanya.
Situasi ini menimbulkan pertanyaan besar tentang komitmen KPU Pangkalpinang terhadap transparansi dan partisipasi publik dalam Pilkada Ulang 2025.
