BALUNIJUK,PERKARANEWS — Semarak Babel atau Semangat Menanam Rakyat Bangka Belitung yang diinisiasi Penjabat (Pj) Gubernur Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Kep. Babel) Safrizal Zakaria Ali, M.Si, kali ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Polisi Negara (SPN) Lubuk Bunter Polda Babel, Selasa (13/2/2024).
Penanaman bibit cabai dilakukan bersamaan di area SPN yang telah disiapkan usai upacara Pembukaan Pendidikan Pembentukan Bintara Polri Angkatan XIV Gelombang I Babel 2024. Turut hadir juga Kapolda Babel Irjen Pol Tornagogo Sihombing serta unsur Forkompimda lainnya. Dalam kesempatan itu, Pj Gubernur juga berkesempatan meninjau Lokasi Binmas Pioner.
Dalam sambutannya, Pj Gubernur Safrizal mengaku sangat senang dengan gerakan penanaman komoditi pertanian ini terus berlanjut, dan didukung penuh oleh Forkompimda. Dan diakuinya, gerakan yang digiatkan beberapa bulan terakhir ini telah berhasil meningkatkan produksi komoditi pertanian di Kep. Babel.
“Tanah kita subur, kita hanya butuh memproduksi 2 persen untuk komoditi bawang merah, betapa kita menyepelekan anugerah Allah SWT. Maka dari itu, penanaman ini akan terus kita gencarkan, target kita produksi pertanian di Kep. Babel harus mencapai 50-60 persen,” ungkapnya.
Upaya lainnya guna menekan inflasi di Kep. Babel, lanjut Safrizal, pihaknya berusaha untuk memperlancar jalur distribusi. Barang-barang masuk yang sifatnya logistik akan didahulukan.
“Mudah-mudahan dengan kerjasama semua pihak, dalam rangka memperkuat daya tahan bahan pangan kita ini, maka cita-cita besar kita untuk Kep. Babel yang sejahtera dengan inflasi yang terkendali dapat terwujud,” ucap Safrizal.
Mendukung penuh program orang nomor satu di Bumi Serumpun Sebalai tersebut, Kapolda Babel Irjen Pol Tornagogo Sihombing mengungkapkan, dalam pembudidayaan tanaman komoditi pertanian ini, pihaknya akan menggandeng petani di sekitar wilayah SPN Lubuk Bunter Polda Babel.
“Kelompok tani kita tidak boleh nganggur, maka dari itu, kami akan gandeng kelompok tani di program penanaman ini,” ungkap Kapolda. (Yuko)
