Pj Gubernur Safrizal Tantang Tanam 1 Juta Pohon di 2024

BANGKA,PERKARANEWS – Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Kep. Babel) berlimpah sumber daya alam yang salah salah satunya timah. Namun, hal ini pun membuat bumi yang kaya tersebut memiliki pekerjaan rumah tersendiri, terutama mengenai pelestarian lingkungan. Tercatat 167.065 hektar (ha) lahan kritis di Kep. Babel, termasuk di dalamnya ada sekitar 12.000 kolong yang perlu diperhatikan kondisi lingkungannya, akibat aktivitas penambangan timah secara ilegal.

Untuk itu, Penjabat (Pj) Gubernur Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Babel) Safrizal Zakaria Ali mengapresiasi kegiatan penanaman pohon bersama dalam rangka HUT Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung ke-23 dan HUT PDAM Tirta Bangka ke-32 di DAM 1 Pemali, Kamis (28/12/2023).

“Saya sangat berterima kasih kepada rekan-rekan PWI (Persatuan Wartawan Indonesia) Kep. Babel yang telah menginisiasi kegiatan seperti ini. Ini sungguh luar biasa,” puji Safrizal.

Dikatakan oleh orang nomor satu di Kep. Babel tersebut, dirinya menargetkan ada penanaman pohon secara besar-besaran di tahun 2024. Termasuk membentuk satgas tanam, guna melestarikan lingkungan, kualitas air, dan tutupan hutan.

“Nanti tahun depan akan kita buatkan satgas tanam. Besar-besaran kita menanam di 2024. Saya tantang untuk menanam satu juta pohon. Nanti, minta tolong Pak Kadis LHK mencarikan lahan-lahan yang perlu untuk kita tanam,” ujar Safrizal.

Pria kelahiran tahun 1970 itu pun menambahkan bahwa dirinya menginginkan seluruh pihak turut serta dalam gerakan penanaman pohon tersebut, baik itu instansi/lembaga maupun masyarakat.

“Nanti semuanya harus berpartisipasi menanam pohon ini. Baik itu dari TNI/Polri, ASN, wartawan, TP PKK, Linmas, maupun masyarakat kita,” pungkasnya.

Kegiatan penanaman 500 batang bibit pohon kayu putih ini bertajuk “Ayo Lestarikan Lingkungan & Selamatkan Sumber Air Baku Masyarakat Kabupaten Bangka”. Tanaman kayu putih dipilih karena pohon ini bisa hidup di lahan dengan kondisi tandus sekalipun, yang mana ini menjadi solusi bagi lahan kritis yang ada di Kep. Babel.
