PANGKALPINANG,PERKARANEWS – Masyarakat tampaknya sudah sangat menanti-nanti kehadiran Masjid Agung Kubah Timah di tengah-tengah Kota Pangkalpinang. Masjid yang berada di Kawasan Alun-Alun Taman Merdeka ini akan diresmikan pada 9 November mendatang.
“Saya lihat di media sosial banyak yang tag memposting gambaran masjid tersebut. Ini adalah masjid agung pertama di Pangkalpinang, letaknya di pusat kota. Pasti sudah sangat ditunggu-tunggu oleh masyarakat,” kata Wali Kota Pangkalpinang Maulan Aklil atau akrap disapa Molen seusai rapat pembahasan pengelolaan Masjid Agung Kubah Timah, Jumat (3/11/2023).
Peresmian nanti, Molen menyebut masyarakat dapat datang untuk melihat masjid agung pertama di Pangkalpinang. Nanti juga akan mengundang seluruh anak yatim piatu di kota berjargon Beribu Senyuman itu.
Molen mengatakan, rapat yang dilaksanakan ini merupakan rapat terakhir untuk pemantapan persiapan peresmian dan salat perdana di Masjid Agung Kubah Timah. Meski demikian, menurut dia, masih ada beberapa yang harus diperbaiki dan harus dikejar lagi progress penataan masjidnya.
“Saya masih ke lokasi untuk ngecek hal-hal kecil. Masih ada beberapa catatan dan ada beberapa yang dirombak. Tapi itu terus kita kejar walaupun setelah peresmian juga,” ucapnya.
Lanjut Molen, masjid ini akan menjadi salah satu masjid yang desainnya unik. Bentuknya menyerupai tudung saji, berwarna abu-abu yang dan sedikit diberi lapisan timah di bagian dalam. Masjid ini dirancang oleh mantan Gubernur Jawa Barat, Ridwan Kamil, yang juga mendesain beberapa masjid seperti Masjid Al Jabbar, Jawa Barat. Mengingat namanya Kubah Timah, namun tidak semua dilapisi dengan timah, karena jika semua menggunakan unsur timah maka dana yang digelontorkan akan semakin besar. Masjid tersebut mampu menampung 1200 jamaah. Di lingkungan masjid akan dihiasi pepohonan dan rumput-rumput yang akan menyejukkan sekitarnya dan juga kolam kecil untuk membuat semakin indahnya lingkungan masjid.
“Namun ini cukup menandakan bahwa seperti timah, ikon Bangka Belitung. Sepertinya antusiasme masyarakat tinggi untuk menantikan salat Jumat perdana di masjid ini,” tutur Molen.
Dia menyebut, lokasi masjid ini bersebelahan dengan Gereja Maranatha, gereja tertua yang sudah ada sejak 1972. Bagi Molen, letak rumah ibadah ini berdampingan menandakan kerukunan antar umat beragama.
Sementara, Kabag Kesra Kota Pangkalpinang, Haris Munandar menambahkan, sampai hari ini pihaknya masih mempersiapkan untuk acara peresmian Masjid Agung Kubah Timah. Selain itu, juga membahas paying hokum Perwako tentang pengelolaan masjid tersebut.
“Insyallah tanggal 5 nanti setelah Gerbang Surga di Masjid Jami kita akan gotong royong membersihkan Masjid Agung Kubah Timah. Peresmian dilaksanakan pada 9 November pukul 15.30 WIB. Kalau waktunya memungkinkan akan dilaksanakan juga pelantikan pengurus,” tutur Haris.
Selain peresmian, kata Haris, akan dilakukan salat Magrib dan Isya berjamaah. Setelah itu diisi oleh ceramah dari salah satu ustaz kondang Indonesia, Ustaz Das’ad Latif. Tanggal 10 November juga dilaksnakan salat Jumat perdana di masjid tersebut.
“Untuk pengurus, seluruhnya berjumlah 128 orang. Itu terdiri dari semua unsur, tokoh agama, tokoh masyarakat, hingga akademisi,” papar Haris. (Yuko)
