Anggota Holding Industri Pertambangan MIND ID, PT TIMAH Tbk merenovasi rumah Usman yang hampir roboh. Tinggal sebatang kara dan mengalami penurunan kesehatan, membuat Usman hanya bisa bertahan dengan keadaan yang ada.
Program pembangunan rumah layak huni merupakan wujud nyata kepedulian PT TIMAH Tbk terhadap masyarakat, khususnya mereka yang hidup dalam kondisi ekonomi terbatas dan tinggal di rumah yang tidak memenuhi standar kenyamanan dan keamanan.
Masril tetangga Usman menceritakan, sebelumnya rumah Usman dibangun oleh warga karena prihatin dengan kondisi Usman. Warga secara swadaya membantu, namun lama kelamaan rumah yang dibangunkan mulai mengalami berbagai kerusakan.
“Usman ini mengalami penurunan kesehatan dan tinggal sebatang kara dan dulunya memang tidak punya tempat tinggal karena pendatang. Lalu warga gotong royong bangunkan rumah, tapi rumahnya ini sudah rusak parah. Jadi kami sebagai warga mengusulkan ke PT TIMAH Tbk untuk renovasi rumahnya karena memang hampir roboh,” cerita Masril.
Selain memberikan bantuan untuk renovasi rumah bagi Usman, Ia menceritakan PT TIMAH Tbk juga kerap membantu pengobatan Usman. Dirinya berharap, PT TIMAH Tbk bisa terus peduli kepada masyarakat.
“Namanya orang punya gangguan mental kadang kan sering terluka, kemarin juga dibantu dari klinik kesehatan PT TIMAH Tbk untuk mengobatinya. Kami berterima kasih sekali kepada PT TIMAH Tbk yang telah membantu tetangga kami sehingga bisa mendapatkan rumah tinggal layak huni,” ucapnya.
Sementara itu, Plt Kepala Desa Perayun Ulul HIdayat mengapresiasi PT TIMAH Tbk yang terus memberikan kontribusinya bagi masyarakat mereka. Menurutnya, dengan adanya bantuan dari PT TIMAH Tbk warga bergotong royong membangunkan rumah layak huni untuk Usman.
“Alhamdulillilah kemarin rumahnya Usman sudah selesai direnovasi dan sudah layak ditinggali. Warga kemarin gotong royong, PT TIMAH Tbk bantu bahan materialnya dan tentu ini sangat membantu kami,” ucapnya.
Ulul Hidayat menambahkan, PT TIMAH Tbk selalu berperan dalam memberikan bantuan sosial kemasyarakatan bagi masyarakat. Sehingga dirinya mendoakan agar PT TIMAH Tbk bisa terus eksis.
