PT Timah Melakukan Langkah-Langkah Hijau untuk Meningkatkan Efisiensi Operasional dan Lingkungan

PANGKALPINANG,PERKARANEWS – PT Timah melaksanakan sejumlah inisiatif untuk memperkuat upaya pengelolaan energi dalam proses bisnis perusahaan. Langkah ini menjadi salah satu strategi perusahaan dalam mendukung transisi energi dan pengurangan emisi karbon.

PT Timah mengakselerasi langkah-langkah transisi energi di seluruh lini operasionalnya. Komitmen ini sejalan dengan visi global untuk mengurangi emisi karbon dan mempercepat penggunaan sumber energi terbarukan.

Langkah hijau yang dilakukan PT Timah dalam melakukan transisi energi mulai dari eksplorasi, penambangan, pengolahan, hingga peleburan dan juga areal perkantoran perusahaan.

Inisiatif yang dilakukan seperti; Selektif Mining, Efisiensi Energi, Subtitusi Bahan Bakar Fossil ke EBT, PLNisasi di Site Mentok, Solar Photo Voltaic, dan penggantian Lampu TL menjadi LED.

Departement Head Corporate Commnunication PT Timah, Anggi Siahaan mengatakan, inisiatif pengurangan konsumsi energi yang dilakukan perusahaan telah berdampak positif terhadap penurunan pemakaian energi.

“Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi inisiatif –inisiatif yang dilakukan menujukkan penurunan konsumsi energi. Pada Tahun 2024, perusahaan berhasil mengurangi konsumsi energi dari semua sektor usaha sebesar 418.645,6 GJ atau 22,69% dibandingkan konsumsi energi pada tahun 2023,” kata Anggi.

Anggi menjelaskan perusahaan menerapkan selectif mining yakni menggunakan peralatan energi yang lebih efisien dan optimalisasi penggunaan mesin saat beroperasi.

Dari sisi transisi energi, perusahaan melakukan rekondisi engine dengan melakukan Over Houl Main Engine pada Peralatan Produksi sektor eksplorasi, penambangan, hingga proses pengolahan dan peleburan.

Perusahaan juga melakukan substitusi bahan bakar Fossil ke EBT dengan pengadaan bertahap Kendaraan Operasional Hybrid, Implementasi biodiesel B35 serta mulai beralih ke Biodiesel B40 sejak Februari 2025, dan pengadaan Forklift berbasis listrik.

Inisiatif lainnya yang dilakukan PT Timah untuk mengurangi konsumsi energi yakni dengan PLNisasi Switching Daya PLTD ke PLN pada sektor Pengolahan dan Peleburan Site Mentok.

Selain itu, perusahaan juga melakukan Solar Photo Voltaic dengan Pemasangan solar panel on grid di Area Reklamasi AirJangkang Pulau Bangka dan Area Reklamasi Air Selinsing Pulau Belitungmasing-masing sebesar 10 kWP.

Tak hanya itu, PT Timah juga melakukan penggantian Lampu TL menjadi LED, mengganti lampu yang memiliki daya besar dengan daya yang lebih kecil dengan tingkat pencahayaan yang sama.

“Inisatif PT Timah untuk mengurangi konsumsi energi bukan hanya berdampak pada efisiensi operasional, tetapi juga mengubah pola pikir dan cara kerja. Ini adalah perjalanan kolektif Perusahaan untuk memastikan keberlanjutan bisnis dan lingkungan,” ujarnya.
