“Sudah 3 tahun ini saya menjadi mitra binaan PT Timah, namun untuk usaha ini sendiri itu sudah sejak dulu, usaha warisan dari orang tua kami, dan orang tua kami warisan dari nenek kami. Jadi sudah ada sekitar 30 an tahun lah,” katanya.
Dewi menceritakan setelah menjadi mitra binaan PT Timah Tbk, Ia bisa menambah jumlah produksi ikan asin miliknya. Hal ini juga berdampak pada peningkatan omset penjualnnya.
“Awalnya untuk bahan baku kami agak terbatas karena modal yang terbatas paling cuma 10 keranjang per hari. Tapi setelah mendapatkan pinjaman modal dari PT Timah Tbk bisa mendapatkan bahan baku 30 keranjang,” ucap Dewi beberapa waktu lalu.
Saat ini kata Dewi, mereka bisa memproduksi sebanyak 800kg hingga 1 ton ikan basah perharinya untuk dijadikan ikan asin.
“Ini tentunya juga berdampak positif juga untuk omset kami, dalam satu hari kami bisa mengolah 800 kg hingga 1 ton ikan basah untuk jadi ikan asin,” ujar Dewi.
Meski memproduksi dalam skala besar, Ia tak pernah kesulitan untuk memasarkan produknya. Karena memang kebutuhan masyarakat untuk ikan asin cukup tinggi. Kendati demikian mereka juga memiliki tantangan terhadap cuaca, jika memasuki musim hujan mereka tidak bisa produksi karena pengeringan ikan asin masih mengandalkan sinar matahari.
“Kalau kendala sih boleh dikatakan tidak ada, kecuali hujan. Sebab jika tidak ada matahari kami tidak bisa mengeringkan ikan asin. Kalau seharian tidak dikeringkan ikannya akan rusak. Kalau sudah rusak biasanya dijual ke para peternak untuk dijadikan pakan ternaknya,” katanya.
Ia memproduksi berbagai jenis ikan asin seperti ikan teri, ikan ciw bangka, tambang dan ikan laysi. Dirinya belum merambah ke jenis ikan lainnya karena masih mengalami kendala dalam pengolahannya.
“Sementara, untuk jenis ikan yang paling diminati yakni jenis ikan asin teri,” kata Dewi.
Dewi menyebutkan, banyak kemajuan usaha yang dijalaninya setelah menjadi mitra binaan PT Timah Tbk, dengan pinjaman modal ini produksinya meningkat sehingga dirinya juga bisa menambah tenaga kerja yang merupakan warga sekitar.
“Terima kasih PT Timah telah membantu modal untuk kami, sebab dengan adanya bantuan modal tersebut kami dapat meningkatkan jumlah produksi ikan asin, selain itu juga kami bisa mempekerjakan masyarakat sekitar dalam proses produksi,” ujarnya. (Yuko)
