OPINI: Jebakan ‘Pasar Murah’ KTP Jelang Pilkada Ulang – Kebebasan Pers Terancam, Demokrasi Dinodai?

PANGKALPINANG,PERKARANEWS.COM– Peringatan Hari Kebebasan Pers setiap 3 Mei tahun ini terasa getir di Bangka Belitung. Di tengah harapan akan Pilkada ulang yang bersih dan berintegritas, justru muncul praktik politik uang dengan modus operandi baru yang mengkhawatirkan. Kebebasan pers seolah terbelenggu oleh kepentingan segelintir elite politik yang berupaya mendistorsi esensi demokrasi.

Masyarakat Bangka Belitung mendambakan pemimpin yang lahir dari proses demokratis yang jujur. Namun, harapan itu terancam oleh munculnya tren politik uang kekinian yang memanfaatkan kegiatan “pasar murah” sebagai kedok pengumpulan Kartu Tanda Penduduk (KTP).

Pasar murah, yang seharusnya menjadi instrumen mulia untuk membantu masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah, kini berpotensi disalahgunakan oleh tim sukses (timses) bakal calon independen. Mereka diduga mengumpulkan KTP warga dengan iming-iming harga minyak goreng yang jauh lebih murah. Praktik ini jelas bukan lagi sekadar bantuan, melainkan indikasi kuat politik uang terselubung yang berpotensi melanggar hukum.

Perilaku elite politik yang dengan sengaja mengumpulkan KTP melalui penjualan minyak goreng murah di pasar mengandung sejumlah potensi pelanggaran serius. Menjual barang di bawah harga pasar dengan syarat menyerahkan KTP dapat dikategorikan sebagai praktik politik uang.

Masyarakat seolah dipengaruhi untuk memberikan dukungan dengan imbalan materi, mencederai prinsip pilkada yang seharusnya berdasarkan visi, misi, dan kualitas calon.

Dalam konteks Pilkada ulang Babel, terutama bagi calon independen, verifikasi dukungan memiliki aturan yang ketat. Pengumpulan KTP dengan cara yang tidak benar, apalagi disertai iming-iming, dapat dianggap sebagai manipulasi data dukungan.

Jika terbukti digunakan untuk memenuhi persyaratan verifikasi, tindakan ini dapat berujung pada pelanggaran pidana, baik berdasarkan Undang-Undang Pilkada maupun Undang-Undang Perlindungan Data Pribadi.Praktik ini jelas melanggar etika politik. Pilkada seharusnya menjadi ajang adu gagasan dan program, bukan kompetisi memberikan imbalan materi untuk mendapatkan dukungan.

Pencatutan data pribadi dan manipulasi dalam proses verifikasi dukungan memiliki konsekuensi hukum serius. Di sinilah peran pers menjadi krusial sebagai kontrol sosial. Insan pers memiliki tanggung jawab untuk mengingatkan masyarakat agar tidak menjadi target nafsu politik para calon. Pihak yang terlibat dalam praktik “pasar murah” KTP ini dapat dijerat pasal-pasal dalam Undang-Undang Pilkada terkait praktik politik uang dan pemalsuan dokumen. Undang-Undang Perlindungan Data Pribadi juga memberikan ancaman hukuman bagi pihak yang mengumpulkan dan menggunakan data pribadi tanpa persetujuan pemiliknya.

Praktik pengumpulan KTP dengan modus pasar murah ini harus menjadi perhatian penting bagi seluruh pihak terkait. Penyelenggara pemilu, aparat penegak hukum, dan masyarakat diharapkan meningkatkan pengawasan dan mencegah praktik-praktik yang mencederai integritas pilkada.

Pilkada yang jujur, demokratis, dan berintegritas adalah fondasi bagi lahirnya pemimpin yang amanah dan membawa kemajuan bagi Bangka Belitung. Modus politik uang, sekecil apapun, harus dihindari demi pilkada berkualitas dan bermartabat.

Masyarakat juga diharapkan semakin cerdas dan tidak mudah tergiur iming-iming sesaat yang justru merusak tatanan demokrasi. Jangan biarkan “pasar murah” KTP menjadi noda hitam dalam pesta demokrasi di Bumi Serumpun Sebalai.
