DPRD Babel Sambut Positif Kembalinya Status Internasional Bandara H.A.S Hanandjoeddin Belitung

PANGKALPINANG,PERKARANEWS – Kembalinya status Bandara H.A.S Hanandjoeddin sebagai bandara internasional disambut positif oleh berbagai pihak di Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung. Salah satunya Wakil Ketua DPRD Babel, Edi Nasapta, yang menilai hal ini sebagai langkah strategis untuk membuka akses global bagi provinsi kepulauan tersebut.

“Dengan adanya bandara internasional, membuka akses Provinsi Bangka Belitung ke internasional. Bahkan ini menjadi akses terluar kita bagian selatan termasuk orang dari Lampung dan Palembang, untuk ke luar negeri atau berkirim barang. Belitung ini bisa jadi aksesnya, yang membuat perekonomian masyarakat meningkat,” kata Edi Nasapta, Selasa (29/4/2025).

Sebagai putra daerah Belitung, Edi mengaku bangga karena status ini diperkirakan akan turut mendongkrak sektor pariwisata Pulau Belitung. Ia berharap maskapai-maskapai penerbangan dapat terus masuk dan membuka jalur penerbangan internasional langsung dari Belitung.

“Mudah-mudahan, ini bisa berjalan terus yang membuat ekonomi membaik. Maskapai penerbangan juga harus terus masuk karena status bandara internasional, harus didukung dengan maskapai penerbangan sehingga bisa bertahan,” jelasnya.

Lebih lanjut pihaknya juga mengucapkan terima kasih kepada Pj Gubernur Bangka Belitung Sugito, Kepala Dinas Pariwisata Kebudayaan dan Kepemudaan Olahraga Provinsi Bangka Belitung, Direktur Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus (KEK) Tanjung Kelayang Daniel Alexander dan seluruh pihak yang telah bersama-sama mendorong kembalinya status bandara internasional.

“Memang ini sudah dikawal dari awal, kita DPRD termasuk saya yang mengawal ini. Sebelumnya itu bersama dengan Pak Sugito dan seluruh pihak, banyak tahapan yang telah kita lakukan. Alhamdulillah semua kita ini berperan, dalam kembalinya status bandara internasional ini,” ungkapnya.

Diketahui sebelumnya Pemerintah pusat melalui Kementerian Perhubungan, menetapkan status sebagai bandara internasional untuk HAS Hanandjoeddin.

Penetapan itu berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Perhubungan RI Nomor KM 26 Tahun 2025, yang ditandatangani Menteri Perhubungan Dudy Purwagandhi, di Jakarta, Jumat (25/4/2025) tentang penetapan status bandara internasional bersama dengan dua bandara lainnya yaitu Bandara Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Palembang dan Bandara Ahmad Yani Semarang.(Yuko)
