BELITUNG,PERKARANEWS – Untuk mendukung literasi tentang kebudayaan masyarakat di Bangka Belitung, PT Timah Tbk menyerahkan bantuan 229 eksemplar buku Mapur Mendulang Kisah Meraup Berkah ke dua dinas di Pulau Belitung, Selasa (28/11/2023).
Buku tersebut diserahkan kepada Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Belitung Timur sebanyak 103 buku dan Dinas Pendidikan Dan Kebudayaan (Disdikbud) Kabupaten Belitung sejumlah 126 buku.
Buku ini menceritakan tentang adat dan kebudayaan masyarakat Adat Mapur di Kabupaten Bangka, Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung.
Bantuan buku ini sebagai komitmen PT Timah Tbk mendukung peningkatan dunia pendidikan di Kepulauan Babel, diantaranya di Pulau Belitong.
Sekretaris Dinas Pendidikan Belitung Timur Dedy Wahyudi mengatakan, bantuan buku itu sebuah langkah positif, guna menambah literasi, pengembangan wawasan dunia Pendidikan di Beltim.
“Buku ini akan kita sebar ke 103 SD dan 22 SMPN di lingkungan kita,” kata Dedy Wahyudi.
Menurut Dedy, kedepan mereka akan mendorong guru-guru untuk berkontribusi yang sama dalam yang menyusun buku, baik tema yang sama atau lainnya, guna bekerja sama dengan PT Timah Tbk.
Ia menyebutkan, PT Timah Tbk sangat positif dalam memajukan dunia pendidikan di Beltim.
“PT Timah Tbk kontribusi positif, dan masih ada yang perlu dikembangkan dalam program merdeka belajar nantinya,” sebutnya.
Oleh karena itu, ia berharap, PT Timah Tbk terus komitmen dan meningkatkan perannya dalam membantu usaha peningkatan mutu pendidikan.
“Artinya PT Timah Tbk dapat mensuport program-program yang bisa disinergikan bersama,” terangnya.
Sementara itu, Kepala Disdikbud Belitung Soebagio mengapresiasi PT Timah Tbk telah menyalurkan bantuan buku yang berkaitan dengan sejarah di Bangka Belitung yang berjudul Mapur.
Tentu buku itu merupakan salah satu media dalam proses pembelajaran yang berkaitan dengan literasi sekolah, siswa-siswi di sekolah untuk gemar membaca.
“Ini suatu bahan pengetahuan tambahan dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah,” sebutnya Bagio sapaan akrab Soebagio.
Bagio menyebutkan, buku itu akan disalurkan kembali melalui bidang masing-masing baik SD ataupun SMP yakni sesuai buku yang diterima Disdikbud.
“Kontribusi PT Timah Tbk di dunia pendidikan di Kabupaten Belitung sudah banyak dilakukan dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di Belitung,” terangnya.
Ia berharap, apa yang telah dilakukan PT Timah Tbk dalam dunia pendidikan agar dipertahankan serta ditingkatkan lagi.
“Silahturahmi dan koordinasi PT Timah Tbk dengan Pemkab Belitung terus terjalin dan meningkat,” tandasnya. (Yuko)
