BELITUNG,PERKARANEWS – Dinas Lingkungan Hidup (DLH) Kabupaten Belitung berkolaborasi dengan PT Timah Tbk menanam pohon, dalam rangka Peringatan Hari Menanam Pohon Indonesia.
Penanaman pohon itu dilaksanakan di area bekas tambang PT Timah Tbk yakni Air Jelutung, Desa Badau, Kecamatan Badau, Rabu (29/11/2023).
Penanaman pohon turut dihadiri Sekretaris Daerah Kabupaten Belitung, MZ Hendra Caya, Kepala DLH Belitung, Yasa, Camat Badau Azhari, Kepala Unit Produksi PT Timah Belitung Sigit Prabowo beserta jajarannya, beserta Kelompok Tani Aik Jelutung.
Kepala DLH Belitung, Yasa mengatakan, mereka sebelumnya pernah menanam pohon di lokasi tersebut, sehingga kali ini selain menanam juga melakukan penyulaman.
“Saat ini seremonial ada 100 pohon, nanti akan dilanjutkan oleh PT Timah Tbk, sembari kita terus pantau,” kata Yasa.
Yasa menyebutkan, manfaat menanam pohon dilahan bekas tambang itu guna pemulihan tanah tersebut, sehingga diharapkan tanah itu kembali seperti semula.
“Ini memang suatu kewajiban dari perusahaan bukan hanya PT Timah Tbk, CSR nya harus ada untuk reboisasi dan reklamasi,” sebutnya.
Ia memaparkan, peserta yang terlibat dalam penanaman pohon ini yakni Pemkab Belitung berupa DLH Belitung beserta OPD lain, Kecamatan Badau, Desa Badau, beserta anak-anak sekolah.
“Dengan PT Timah Tbk kita kolaborasi, tidak bisa satu OPD tapi melibatkan OPD lain dan bersama perusahaan yakni PT Timah Tbk,” terangnya.
Yasa berharap kegiatan penghijauan di Pulau Belitung kembali digalakkan terutama dilahan bekas pertambangan seperti di Kecamatan Badau.
“Kita lihat PT Timah Tbk termasuk perusahaan yang taat terhadap lingkungan, makanya saat ini kami kolaborasi dengan PT Timah Tbk,” tandasnya.
Sementara itu, Sekda Belitung MZ Hendra Caya mengapresiasi, DLH Belitung berkolaborasi dengan PT Timah Tbk melaksanakan penanaman pohon dalam Hari Penanaman Pohon Indonesia di IUP PT Timah Tbk.
“Pohon ini harus dijaga dan ditanam, jangan sampai ditebang saja tapi tidak ada yang menanam,” katanya.
Menurutnya, selama PT Timah Tbk sangat baik dalam melakukan reklamasi, namun pelaksanaan harus terus dilaksanakan, sehingga bekas tambang itu bisa hijau semua.
Apalagi, Badau diprediksi akan menjadi daerah padat penduduk, sehingga lahan tandus harus tetap hijau.
“Hari ini kita coba tanam sebaik-baiknya, PT Timah Tbk ini tiap tahun melakukan penanaman, jadi kita lakukan bersama dan bersinergi,” tandasnya. (Yuko)
