BELITUNG, PERKARANEWS.COM – PT Timah Tbk bersama tim gabungan kembali menertibkan tambang ilegal yang beroperasi di Izin Usaha Pertambangan (IUP) PT Timah di kawasan Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Cerucuk, Desa Cerucuk, Kecamatan Tanjungpandan, Kabupaten Belitung, Selasa (12/8/2025).
Penertiban ini dilakukan setelah tim gabungan yang terdiri dari Pengamanan Area Tambang Darat Belitung bersama BKO Brimbob mendapati dua unit tambang ilegal jenis sebu beroperasi di kawasan tersebut dari hasil patroli udara dan patroli langsung.
Tim gabungan sebelumnya telah mengedukasi empat penambang ilegal di kawasan tersebut bahwa aktivitas yang dilakukan ilegal karena tidak memiliki izin dari PT Timah Tbk selaku pemegang IUP.
Keempat pekerja yang diamankan yakni Kosasih (34), Edi (37), Aryo (22), dan Aloy (29) yang merupakan warga Desa Perawas, Kecamatan Tanjung Pandan. Barang bukti yang diamankan dari penertiban ini yakni dua unit mesin pompa air, peralatan tambang seperti sakan, spiral, karpet, pipa suntik, terpal, serta bahan bakar minyak dan bijih timah.
Untuk penyelidikan lebih lanjut, empat penambang ilegal ini diserahkan ke Unit Tipiter Polres Belitung untuk diproses lebih lanjut.
Division Head Mining Asset & Security PT Timah Tbk, Brigjen Pol. Drs. Gatot Agus Budi Utomo, M.H menegaskan, penertiban ini menjadi bagian dari upaya perusahaan bersama aparat penegak hukum (APH) untuk memberikan efek jera kepada pelaku penambangan ilegal, termasuk pengumpul yang membeli bijih timah hasil tambang tanpa izin.
“Pengawasan di wilayah IUP akan terus ditingkatkan untuk mencegah kebocoran bijih timah dan menjaga cadangan sumber daya yang merupakan aset negara,” kata Gatot.
Dengan langkah tegas ini, PT Timah berharap kesadaran masyarakat semakin tumbuh bahwa penambangan harus dilakukan sesuai aturan dan izin yang berlaku, demi menjaga kelestarian lingkungan sekaligus melindungi kekayaan sumber daya mineral negara. (Yuko)
