BANGKA TENGAH,PERKARANEWS.COM – Praktik penambangan timah ilegal di Bangka Tengah kembali menjadi sorotan. Kali ini, lokasi penambangan nekat dilakukan di area lahan pemakaman Kelurahan Arung Dalam, dekat permukiman warga. Rabu,(28/5)
Ironisnya, dugaan keterlibatan Ketua LPM Kelurahan Arung Dalam dalam memuluskan aktivitas terlarang ini mencuat ke publik, memicu keresahan dan pertanyaan besar akan supremasi hukum.
Informasi yang dihimpun PerkaraNews menyebutkan, aktivitas penambangan timah yang berjarak hanya sekitar 200 meter dari perumahan Barito ini kembali marak.
Meski telah belasan kali dihimbau dan jelas melanggar undang-undang terkait Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS), para penambang seolah tak gentar. Terpantau di lapangan, sedikitnya 20 ponton penambang bebas beraktivitas, tanpa ada tindakan berarti dari aparat penegak hukum.
Sumber di lapangan mengungkapkan, keberanian para penambang ini bukan tanpa alasan. Mereka diduga telah mengantongi “izin” dari Ketua LPM Kelurahan Arung Dalam. Syaratnya, para penambang diminta untuk tidak menyasar area perkebunan sawit milik warga, melainkan mencari lokasi yang bebas dari sawit.
Bahkan, beredar kabar bahwa Ketua LPM tersebut sempat melontarkan janji manis kepada para penambang. “Kalau kalian ketangkep, pasti kami tidak tinggal diam. Intinya kalau ada apa-apa pasti kami urus,” ujar Ketua LPM, sebagaimana ditirukan oleh salah satu penambang.
Pernyataan ini semakin memperkuat dugaan adanya bekingan kuat di balik aktivitas penambangan ilegal ini.
Terkait nama yang mengambil timah, disebut-sebut adalah Akiong Popas Koba Kampung Jawa.
Sementara itu, lahan yang menjadi sasaran penambangan ilegal ini merupakan lahan perkuburan Kelurahan Arung Dalam yang terletak di aliran DAS. Kondisi ini jelas sangat memprihatinkan, mengingat fungsi lahan tersebut sebagai tempat peristirahatan terakhir dan keberadaan DAS yang seharusnya dilindungi.
Situasi ini mendesak perhatian serius dari aparat penegak hukum. Masyarakat mempertanyakan mengapa “power” seorang Ketua LPM bisa sedemikian rupa sehingga undang-undang yang berlaku seolah tidak berarti di mata mereka. PerkaraNews mendesak Bapak Kapolres Bangka Tengah untuk segera menindaklanjuti laporan ini, mengusut tuntas dugaan keterlibatan Ketua LPM, dan menghentikan aktivitas penambangan ilegal yang merusak lingkungan dan melanggar hukum.
