PANGKALPINANG,PERKARANEWS – PT Timah Tbk menunjukkan komitmennya dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan nelayan di wilayah operasional perusahaan. Bantuan mesin tempel diserahkan kepada kelompok nelayan di Dusun Tanah Merah, Desa Baskara Bakti, Kabupaten Bangka Tengah, Jumat (28/02/2025).
Bantuan yang diberikan berupa 10 unit mesin tempel berkekuatan 9.8 Paardenkracht. Bantuan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan produktivitas dan kesejahteraan nelayan setempat.
Gasfar, salah satu nelayan Dusun Tanah Merah, menyampaikan apresiasi atas bantuan ini. “Saat ini sudah terealisasi 10 mesin dan mudah-mudahan kelak akan ada tambahan. Mesin ini sangat membantu kami para nelayan yang biasanya melaut di pinggir sekarang bisa jauh ke tengah,” ujarnya.
“Semoga PT Timah sukses selalu, dapat menjalankan komitmennya membantu kami para nelayan dan juga masyarakat lain yang membutuhkan,” harapnya.
Kepala Desa Baskara Bakti, Bahtiar Efendi, turut hadir dalam penyerahan bantuan. Ia mengatakan bantuan ini sangat bermanfaat dan meningkatkan semangat para nelayan untuk melaut lebih jauh. “Kami sangat berterima kasih, karena bantuan ini sangat bermanfaat untuk mendorong perekonomian nelayan di desa kami,” ujarnya.
Ia berharap PT Timah terus memberikan bantuan, tidak hanya untuk nelayan tetapi juga warga lainnya. “Kami berharap program bantuan ini tidak hanya sampai disini, mudah-mudahan bisa diberikan bantuan juga untuk warga yang bukan nelayan,” harapnya.
PT Timah secara berkelanjutan terus mendukung peningkatan kesejahteraan kelompok nelayan dengan berbagai program. Dukungan diberikan dalam bentuk peralatan tangkap, peningkatan sarana dan prasarana kelompok nelayan, serta memfasilitasi para nelayan untuk memiliki jaminan perlindungan sosial melalui BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.(MJ01)
