Pada Bulan Agustus 2024, PT Timah menggelontorkan dana sebesar Rp 37 M untuk melakukan eksplorasi di darat maupun di laut. Kegiatan eksplorasi PT Timah di laut pada Bulan Agustus 2024, berupa kegiatan bor eksplorasi dan pemanduan tambang dengan lima unit kapal bor.
Kegiatan Eksplorasi di darat pada bulan Agustus 2024 meliputi kegiatan pengeboran eksplorasi primer darat dan survei topografi.
“Eksplorasi adalah langkah strategis untuk menjaga kesinambungan industri tambang. Namun, ini bukan hanya soal memperluas produksi, tapi juga tentang menjaga keseimbangan antara pemanfaatan sumber daya alam dan pelestarian lingkungan,” kata Kepala Bidang Komunikasi Perusahaan PT Timah, Anggi Siahaan.
PT Timah juga terus berupaya untuk meningkatkan teknologi eksplorasi, penambangan dan pengolahan sebagai upaya untuk menjaga keberlanjutan perusahaan.(Yuko)
