Peduli Kesehatan Warga, PT Timah Tbk Gelar Fogging Masif di Lingkungan Kundur Barat

KUNDUR, BERITA-FAKTA.COM — Sebagai bentuk kepedulian terhadap kesehatan masyarakat dan karyawan, PT Timah Tbk melalui Division HSE Area Kundur melakukan aksi fogging atau pengasapan di sekitar area perkantoran, komplek perumahan karyawan, serta sejumlah fasilitas umum di Kecamatan Kundur Barat.

 

Langkah ini diambil menyusul meningkatnya kasus Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) di wilayah Kundur Barat yang cukup meresahkan. Fogging dilakukan secara menyeluruh di kawasan seperti perumahan, masjid, serta sekolah-sekolah yang berada di lingkungan sekitar perusahaan.

“Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari upaya preventif perusahaan dalam membantu menekan laju penyebaran nyamuk Aedes aegypti yang menjadi vektor penular DBD,” ujar Departement Head Corporate Communication PT Timah Tbk, Anggi Siahaan.

 

Ia menambahkan bahwa sebelumnya perusahaan juga telah menggelar seminar dan sosialisasi pencegahan DBD bekerja sama dengan Puskesmas Kundur Barat.

 

Amsir, warga RT 17 Dusun IV Desa Gemuruh, menyampaikan apresiasinya terhadap kegiatan fogging yang dilakukan PT Timah.

 

“Beberapa waktu lalu cukup banyak warga kami, terutama anak-anak, yang terkena DBD. Kami sangat berterima kasih atas inisiatif ini, semoga penyebarannya bisa ditekan,” ungkapnya.

 

Senada dengan itu, Ardian, guru di SD Negeri 012 Kundur Barat, juga menyambut baik kegiatan ini.

 

“Fogging ini sangat membantu, apalagi saat musim pancaroba seperti sekarang. Kami mengajak semua pihak untuk menjaga kebersihan lingkungan agar nyamuk tidak berkembang,” ujarnya.

 

Melalui program ini, PT Timah Tbk menunjukkan komitmennya dalam mendukung kesehatan masyarakat sekitar wilayah operasional perusahaan serta menjadi bagian dari solusi atas permasalahan lingkungan dan kesehatan. (Yuko)
