PANGKALPINANG,PERKARANEWS– Polemik aktivitas penambangan timah ilegal di sekitar kantor Dinas Kelautan dan Perikanan (DKP) Kota Pangkalpinang kembali mencuat dalam rapat dengar pendapat (RDP) antara DPRD dengan DKP. Anggota DPRD Kota Pangkalpinang, Sumardan, mendesak agar para pelaku penambangan ilegal tersebut ditangkap dan dipenjara untuk memberikan efek jera.
“Sudah terlalu sering kita mendengar keluhan mengenai aktivitas tambang ilegal ini. Kerusakan aset negara akibat ulah mereka sudah sangat jelas. Saya minta aparat penegak hukum bertindak tegas. Tangkap dan penjarakan mereka agar ada efek jera,” tegas Sumardan dalam rapat yang digelar di ruang sidang paripurna DPRD, Selasa (31/12).
Senada dengan Sumardan, Kepala DKP Kota Pangkalpinang, David Oktaviandi, mengungkapkan keprihatinannya atas kerusakan yang ditimbulkan oleh aktivitas penambangan ilegal tersebut. Pagar kantor dan kolam milik DKP menjadi korban dari ulah para penambang.
“Kami sudah berkali-kali melakukan penertiban, namun mereka seperti tak pernah kapok. Bahkan, setelah peralatan mereka disita, mereka tetap melakukan aktivitas penambangan di malam hari,” ungkap David.
Menurut David, lokasi penambangan ilegal tersebut berada di Kelurahan Air Mangkok, sangat dekat dengan kantor DKP. Akses yang mudah membuat para penambang leluasa melakukan aktivitasnya.
“Ini sudah sangat meresahkan. Selain merusak lingkungan, aktivitas mereka juga mengancam keselamatan masyarakat sekitar,” tambah David.
Menanggapi keluhan dari DKP, Sumardan meminta agar pihak kepolisian segera turun tangan untuk mengatasi masalah ini. Ia juga menyarankan agar DKP melaporkan secara berkala aktivitas penambangan ilegal tersebut kepada pihak kepolisian.
“Jangan hanya sekedar laporan saja, tapi minta juga tindakan nyata dari kepolisian. Kita harus tunjukkan bahwa kita tidak akan tinggal diam melihat aset negara dirusak begitu saja,” tegas Sumardan.
Politisi Partai Demokrat ini juga menyoroti lemahnya penegakan hukum terhadap kasus penambangan ilegal. Menurutnya, masih banyak celah yang dapat dimanfaatkan oleh para penambang untuk terus beroperasi.
“Perlu ada evaluasi terhadap sistem pengawasan dan penegakan hukum terkait kasus penambangan ilegal ini. Kita harus mencari solusi yang lebih efektif untuk mengatasi masalah ini,” ujar Sumardan.(Yuko)
