PT Timah Komitmen Mendukung Tradisi dan Budaya Masyarakat di Kabupaten Karimun

KARIMUN,PERKARANEWS – PT Timah terus mendukung pelestarian adat, budaya dan tradisi masyarakat di wilayah operasional Perusahaan. Hal ini sebagai salah satu langkah konkrit perusahaan untuk tumbuh dan berkembang bersama masyarakat.

Upaya pelestarian budaya lokal yang didukung PT Timah diantaranya yakni tradisi lampu colok dan lampu hias elektrilk yang ada di Kabupaten Karimun.

Tradisi lampu colok merupakan bagian penting dari warisan budaya masyarakat Melayu yang telah diwariskan secara turun-temurun. Pemasangan pelita minyak tanah yang disusun menjadi ornamen atau simbol tertentu ini bukan hanya menjadi representasi nilai estetika dan spiritual, tetapi juga menjadi media penguatan solidaritas antarwarga serta ruang kreativitas bagi generasi muda.

Selain itu, penggunaan lampu hias elektrik juga turut mewarnai tradisi ini sebagai bentuk adaptasi modern yang tetap menjaga semangat kebersamaan dan kreativitas masyarakat. Kehadiran kedua jenis penerangan ini memperkaya atmosfer perayaan dan memperluas partisipasi lintas generasi.

Pada Momen Bulan Ramadan lalu, PT Timah menyerahkan bantuan bagi kelompok Pemuda P3TU Teluk Uma, Ikatan pemuda pelambung, Pemuda Ranggam, Ikatan Pemuda Asmara Dewi, dan Ikatan Pemuda Pemudi Darat Mata Air untuk mendukung kegiatan tradisi lampu colok.

Bantuan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak positif dalam menjaga semangat gotong royong dan pelestarian budaya lokal, sebagai wujud komitmen perusahaan untuk terus mendukung tradisi masyarakat.

Wakil Ketua Pemuda Pelambung, Desa Pongkar Farid, turut menyampaikan apresiasinya terhadap dukungan yang diberikan oleh PT Timah Tbk.

“Saya mengucapkan ribuan terima kasih pada pihak PT Timah yang telah memberikan bantuan untuk membuat lampu hias elektrik. PT Timah selalu membantu dalam setiap kegiatan pemuda maupun masyarakat yang ada di RW1, Desa Pongkar,” katanya.

Selain mendukung pelestarian budaya lokal masyarakat di Kabupaten Karimun, Provinsi Kepulauan Riau. PT Timah juga berperan aktif dalam mendukung kegiatan budaya dan tradisi masyarakat di Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung seperti nuju jerami, perang ketupat dan lainnya.(Yuko)
