Hal tersebut disampaikannya saat menjadi narasumber dalam kegiatan dialog tokoh agama dan masyarakat yang diikuti oleh 40 orang peserta perwakilan organisasi keagamaan dan organisasi kemasyarakatan se-kota Pangkalpinang di auditorium PLHUT Pangkalpinang, Kamis (15/05).
“Negara Indonesia merupakan negara besar dengan multi etnis dan agama maka perlu untuk terus dirawat dan dipelihara kerukunannya agar tidak berpotensi terpecah-belah,” tutur Firmantasi.
Yang terpenting adalah, lanjutnya, komitmen kita bersama untuk menjaga kerukunan dalam kemajemukan itu dan menjadikan pluralisme sebagai salah satu bentuk kekayaan bangsa yang harus terus dipelihara dan dilestarikan.
“Para pendiri bangsa pun telah mewariskan kepada kita konsep Pancasila dan UUD 1945 yang sudah menjadi konsensus bersama. Legacy inilah hendaknya dapat menjadi acuan bagi kita kita untuk mewujudkan kerukunan,” jelasnya.
Menghadapi situasi yang terus berkembang pun, lanjutnya, para tokoh agama dan masyarakat sebagai figur sentral yang keberadaannya paling dekat dengan umat perlu mendapatkan pembekalan, sharing dan upgrade informasi terkait permasalahan-permasalahan yang muncul di tengah-tengah masyarakat melalui kegiatan dialog seperti ini.
“Agar memiliki persepsi yang bermuara pada satu kesimpulan yang menghasilkan rekomendasi yang dapat diterapkan dalam penanganan permasalahan yang dihadapi umat,” papar Firmantasi.
Keberadaan para tokoh agama pun, imbuhnya, diharapkan mampu memberikan spirit dan kontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan kualitas ibadah dan pengamalan nilai-nilai luhur ajaran agama pada masing-masing umatnya.
“Minimal, dengan peran tokoh agama, masyarakat dapat taat menjalankan ibadah dan mengamalkan nilai-nilai positif agamanya yang tentunya mengajarkan kebaikan, cinta dan kemanusiaan, sehingga kerukunan pun akan dapat terwujud dengan baik,” harapnya. (Yuko)
