KARIMUN,PERKARANEWS – PT Timah terus mendukung peningkatan sarana dan prasarana pendidikan di wilayah operasional perusahaan. Hal ini sejalan dengan upaya perusahaan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan masyarakat.
Kali ini, PT Timah menyerahkan bantuan untuk Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Darul Jannah di Kecamatan Karimun, Kabupaten Karimun. Bantuan ini akan dimanfaatkan untuk memperbaiki bangunan sekolah yang mulai rusak.
Kepala Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darul Jannah, Abdul Aziz menceritakan plafon bangunan sekolah mulai rusak, sehingga bisa membahayakan para pelajar. Untuk, itu bantuan dari PT Timah akan digunakan untuk memperbaiki flapon tersebut.
“Bantuan ini rencananya akan digunakan untuk perbaikan atap, plafon, dan pagar madrasah,” kata Abdul Aziz.
Abdul Aziz mengapresiasi bantuan dari PT Timah untuk sekolah mereka, Ia berharap nantinya PT Timah dapat terus mendukung sektor pendidikan.
“Ini bantuan yang pertama kali dari PT Timah. Semoga PT Timah semakin maju dan banyak memberikan bantuan untuk sosial kemasyarakatan dan pendidikan,” tuturnya.
Langkah PT Timah dalam mendukung sektor pendidikan juga selaras dengan Asta Cita Presiden Republik Indonesia yang keempat yaitu memperkuat pembangunan sumber daya manusia, sains, teknologi, pendidikan, kesehatan, prestasi olahraga, kesetaraan gender, serta penguatan peran perempuan, pemuda, dan penyandang disabilitas.
Anggota holding Industri pertambangan MIND ID ini kerap mendukung program pendidikan seperti memberikan beasiswa bagi para pelajar, pelatihan bagi para guru dan juga meningkatkan sarana dan prasarana pendidikan.
Berbagai program yang dijalankan PT Timah dalam sektor pendidikan diharapkan dapat menciptakan ekosistem pendidikan yang mendukung terwujudnya Generasi Emas Indonesia 2045.(Yuko)
