Terbaru, perusahaan tambang BUMN ini berkolaborasi dengan Lembaga Adat Mapur untuk menghadirkan Kampung Adat Gebong Memarong di Dusun Air Abik, Desa Gunung Muda, Kabupaten Bangka, sebagai destinasi wisata edukasi sejarah.
Kehadiran Kampung Adat Gebong Memarong menjadi langkah nyata PT Timah dalam mendukung pelestarian budaya, tradisi, dan kearifan lokal masyarakat adat Mapur. Di kawasan ini, berdiri kokoh tujuh unit rumah tradisional berbentuk panggung dengan ciri khas atap nipah, dinding kulit kayu, dan alas kayu yang mencerminkan arsitektur khas masyarakat Mapur.
Lebih dari sekadar kawasan adat, Gebong Memarong kini bertransformasi menjadi destinasi wisata edukasi budaya yang memiliki nilai sejarah tinggi. Tempat ini sekaligus menjadi ruang belajar yang berharga bagi generasi muda untuk mengenal lebih dekat tradisi dan adat istiadat leluhur masyarakat Mapur.
Tak ayal, Kampung Adat Gebong Memarong kini menjadi daya tarik bagi wisatawan dan pelajar dari berbagai sekolah. Mereka datang untuk belajar langsung tentang kekayaan tradisi masyarakat Adat Mapur, mulai dari seni anyaman, musik dambus, hingga pemahaman mendalam tentang adat istiadat yang diwariskan secara turun-temurun.
Ketua Harian Lembaga Adat Mapur, Asih Harmoko, mengungkapkan bahwa pihaknya telah menjalin kerjasama dengan berbagai universitas dan sekolah di Bangka Belitung untuk menjadikan Kampung Adat Mapur sebagai pusat wisata edukasi. “Untuk institusi akademisi, kami bekerja sama dengan universitas dan sekolah-sekolah yang ada di Bangka Belitung. Pada tahun 2025 ini saja, tercatat lebih dari 2.000 kunjungan dari para pelajar generasi muda,” ujarnya.
Kepala Sekolah SMAN 1 Riau Silip, Kurniati, yang juga membawa siswanya berkunjung ke Kampung Adat Gebong Memarong, menyampaikan apresiasinya terhadap keberadaan destinasi ini. Menurutnya, Gebong Memarong adalah aset pendidikan yang luar biasa dan menjadi laboratorium budaya bagi para siswa. “Anak-anak bisa belajar tentang anyaman, musik dambus, dan adat istiadat para leluhur,” katanya.
Lebih lanjut, Kurniati menambahkan bahwa kehadiran Kampung Adat ini juga memberikan dampak positif terhadap perekonomian masyarakat sekitar, terutama bagi para pelaku UMKM yang bergerak di bidang kerajinan tangan, dekorasi rumah, dan obat-obatan herbal. Dukungan berkelanjutan dari PT Timah terhadap pelestarian adat Gebong Memarong diharapkan dapat terus menjadi magnet bagi wisatawan dan membuka peluang ekonomi yang lebih luas bagi masyarakat lokal.(MJ01)
