Polda Babel Tanami 1.870 Tanaman Kayu Putih Dilahan Eks Tambang Di Area Bandara

PANGKALPINANG,PERKARANEWS — Sebanyak 1.870 tanaman jenis kayu putih kembali ditanami oleh Polda Bangka Belitung dilahan bekas tambang ilegal yang berada di dekat kawasan Bandara Depati Amir Pangkalpinang, Jumat (8/3/2024) pagi.

Penanaman ini langsung dilakukan oleh Kapolda Bangka Belitung, Irjen Pol Dr. Tornagogo Sihombing, S.I.K., M.Si, bersama dengan Pejabat Utama Polda Bangka Belitung.

Selain itu, penanaman bibit kayu putih ini juga melibatkan PT. Timah dan Dinas Lingkungan Hidup (DLH) Bangka Belitung serta para kelompok Petani.

Kapolda mengatakan penanaman ini akan terus dilakukan pihaknya dilokasi lahan kritis bekas tambang ilegal yang ada di Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung.

Dikatakan Kapolda, penanaman ini dilakukan diatas lahan seluas 2 hektar yang berada di area sekitar Bandara Depati Amir Kota Pangkalpinang.

“Ada sebanyak 1.870 tanaman yang kita tanami dan ini akan terus kita gencarkan penanaman di lahan kritis yang dilakukan oleh pelaku kejahatan lingkungan hidup yang tidak bertanggung jawab dalam merusak lingkungan demi kepentingan penggalian mineral yang tidak sesuai aturan,” kata Kapolda usai penanaman.

Menurut Tornagogo, penanaman ini akan terus berlanjut dengan melibatkan para kelompok tani yang ada di Bangka Belitung untuk memantau perawatannya.

Lebih lanjut, Ia menyebutkan pihaknya juga melakukan penanaman diwilayah pesisir seperti mangrove yang sudah digali secara ilegal oleh para oknum yang tidak bertanggung jawab.

“Negara harus hadir melakukan penertiban ini dan saya selaku Kapolda menghimbau kepada seluruh instansi dan masyarakat jika ada lahan-lahan kritis mari kita tanami dengan tumbuh-tumbuhan seperti kayu putih, mente dan lain-lain,” ujar Tornagogo.

Sementara itu, penanaman juga dilakukan secara serentak di 7 Kota dan Kabupaten yang ada di Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung.

Total ada 8 ribu lebih tanaman berbagai jenis yang sudah ditanami diatas lahan 15 Hektar oleh Polda Bangka Belitung dan Polres Jajaran hingga saat ini di Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung. (Yuko)
