BANGKA,PERKARANEWS – Rumpon ikan memiliki banyak manfaat dalam memudahkan nelayan untuk mencari ikan. Pasalnya rumpon dapat membantu nelayan dalam meningkatkan produksi, efisiensi dan efektifitas operasi penangkapan ikan.
Rumpon bahkan menjadi alat bantu atau media pengumpul ikan yang memiliki berbagai jenis bentuk untuk memikat agar berkumpul. Biasanya rumpon dibuat menyerupai karang alami sehingga ikan-ikan akan merasa mendapatkan rumah baru. Pada saat ikan berkumpul di rumpon, akan memudahkan nelayan untuk menangkap ikan.
Menyadari manfaat rumpon ini, PT Timah Tbk dalam beberapa tahun terakhir aktif berkolaborasi dengan kelompok nelayan di wilayah operasional perusahaan untuk menenggelamkan rumpon.
Melalui program TJSL perusahaan, PT Timah Tbk telah menenggelamkan ratusan rumpon seperti di Kabupaten Bangka Barat dan beberapa wilayah lainnya. Kali ini, PT Timah Tbk menenggelamkan sebanyak 170 rumpon ikan di Laut Rebo, Sungailiat, Kabupaten Bangka, Rabu (29/11/2023).
Sebelumnya anggota Holding Industri Pertambangan MIND ID, PT Timah Tbk ini juga telah menenggelamkan sebanyak 36 unit atraktor cumi di Laut Rebo pada 14 November 2023 lalu.
PT Timah Tbk menggandeng Ketua Kelompok Nelayan Ridho Ilahi Bersatu, Desa Kenanga, Kecamatan Sungailiat, Kabupaten Bangka untuk membuat dan menenggelamkan ratusan unit rumpon ikan ini.
“Kegiatan penenggelaman rumpon ini kedua kalinya bagi kami bersama PT Timah, pertama itu tahun 2021. Sementara untuk kegiatan reklamasi lautnya itu, sudah lumayan cukup lama kami bersinergi bersama PT Timah, itu sekitar 6 tahun,” kata Ketua Kelompok Nelayan Ridho Ilahi Bersatu, Karyadi.
Menurut Karyadi mereka sudah merasakan manfaat kehadiran rumpon karena mereka tak perlu jauh-jauh lagi untuk melaut langaran ikan sudah berkumpul dan jarak yang ditempuh juga lebih dekat.
Mereka juga membagikan titik penenggelaman rumpon ini kepada nelayan sekitar agar hal ini juga bisa dirasakan nelayan lainnya seperti nelayan Desa Kenanga, Rebo, Parit Padang dan Desa Jurung.
Ia berharap, kegiatan penenggelaman rumpon ini bisa menjadi agenda rutin tahunan yang dilaksanakan bersama PT Timah Tbk sehingga semakin banyak rumpon di Perairan Rebo.
“Semoga ini bisa dilakukan setiap tahunnya, karena bagi nelayan dengan kapasitas mesin yang kecil, itu sangat membantu sekali. Karena radius jangkauannya yang 3-4 mil masih terbilang dekat, dan mudah untuk di akses,” kata Karyadi.
Sementara itu, Ketua Dewan Pimpinan Cabang Himpunan Nelayan Seluruh Indonesia (DPC HNSI) Kabupaten Bangka, Lukman yang hadir dalam kegiatan ini, mengatakan PT Timah Tbk memiliki banyak program yang dikerjakan bersama kelompok nelayan.
Tak hanya penenggelaman rumpon, menurut Lukman PT Timah Tbk juga kerap membantu nelayan yang mengalami musibah kecelakaan, penanaman mangrove bersama nelayan.
“Sejauh ini kami berkolaborasi bersama PT timah itu sangat baik, dan saling membutuhkan. Hari ini, lagi – lagi PT Timah turut membantu nelayan untuk menenggelamkan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil tangkap, tentu ini sangat membantu sekali dalam menunjang kesejahteraan mereka,” katanya.
“Bagi kami, peran serta PT Timah sudah sangat luar biasa terhadap para Nelayan” kata Lukman.
Kedepan, Ia berharap, kolaborasi PT Timah Tbk bersama nelayan dapat terus terjalin, sehingga dapat membantu meningakatkan kesejahteraan nelayan.
“Kami dari HNSI Kepulauan Bangka Belitung memiliki moto Harmonisasi Bahari karena kami sadar bahwa Kepulauan Bangka Belitung ini tidak lepas dari kegiatan pertambangan. Kedepannya kami berharap dapat berkolaborasi bersama PT Timah dalam kegiatan penanaman mangrove, hal ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi sedimentasi pantai,” katanya.
Sementara itu, Kepala Bidang Perizinan, Penyelenggaraan & Pengelolaan TPI, Dinas Perikanan Kabupaten Bangka Reki Subagio mengatakan, penenggelaman rumpon yang dilakukan PT Timah Tbk ini merupakan salah satu upaya pemulihan sumber daya perikanan, dan akan sangat bermanfaat bagi Nelayan.
“Kami mengapresiasi PT Timah Tbk yang telah menenggelamkan rumpon ini, kami berharap kepada PT Timah Tbk dapat terus menjaga sinergitas dengan kelompok nelayan,” tandasnya. (Yuko)
