BANGKA,PERKARANEWS – Musim kemarau yang melanda beberapa wilayah di Indonesia termasuk Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung tahun ini menyebakan banyak kejadian kebakaran. PT Timah Tbk turut membantu Pemerintah dalam menangani kebakaran yang terjadi.
Badan Penanggulan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung mencatat hingga tanggal 7 Oktober 2023 jumlah lahan yang terbakar di tujuh kabupaten/kota di Babel mencapai 1.579 hektar.
Untuk itu, PT Timah Tbk dengan sigap mengerahkan tim dan mobil kebakaran di wilayah operasional perusahaan untuk membantu menangani kebakaran yang terjadi seperti di Kabupaten Bangka dan Kabupaten Bangka Barat.
Tim pemadam kebakaran PT Timah Tbk telah membantu memadamkan belasan kejadian kebakaran di Kabupaten Bangka pada periode Agustus-September. Sama halnya dengan di Bangka Barat, PT Timah Tbk juga telah menurunkan tim untuk membantu menangani kebakaran yang terjadi.
Salah satu warga Desa Rebo Fendi yang turut memadamkan kebakaran yang terjadi di Desa Rebo mengatakan, pihaknya bersyukur tim Damkar PT Timah Tbk dengan sigap membantu memadamkan api setelah mereka melaporkan peristiwa ini.
“Kami mencoba menghubungi berbagai pihak untuk meminta pertolongan, dan kami sangat bersyukur tim damkar PT Timah datang untuk membantu memadamkan kobaran api tersebut. Kami tidak bisa bayangkan jika tim damkar PT Timah tidak turun tangan, mungkin kondisinya akan lebih berbahaya lagi. Terima kasih PT Timah yang sudah membantu kami,” kata Fendi belum lama ini.
Senada, Kepala Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran dan Sat Pol PP Bangka Barat Sidharta Gautama mengatakan pihaknya bersama PT Timah Tbk saat ini sudah memadamkan ratusan titik kebakaran yang disebabkan oleh kelalaian masyarakat.
Menurut Sidartha, untuk memadamkan kebakaran mengandalkan dua mobil pemadam kebakaran dari PT Timah dan Pemkab Bangka Barat dan dibantu institusi lain dan masyarakat.
“Selama ini untuk memadamkan kebakaran hanya mengharapkan dua unit mobil pemadam kebakaran dari PT Timah dan Pemda Bangka Barat. PT Timah Tbk juga sangat respon dan tanggap dalam membantu dalam menanggulanggi kebakaran,” katanya.
Sementara itu, Kepala Bidang Komunikasi Perusahaan PT Timah Tbk Anggi Siahaan mengatakan, PT Timah Tbk bersama pemerintah dan masyarakat terlibat aktif untuk berperan dalam mengatasi bencana yang terjadi seperti kebakaran ini.
“PT Timah Tbk bersinergi dengan stakeholder, masyarakat dan relawan untuk bersama-sama membantu menangani kejadian kebakaran ini. Semoga dengan adanya unit pemadam kebakaran timah ini bisa membantu menangani dengan cepat dan tepat peristiwa kebakaran,” kata Anggi. (Yuko)
