Prof. Udin Turun ke Lapangan: Pemkot Siapkan Solusi Jangka Panjang Atasi Banjir Rob

PANGKALPINANG, PERKARANEWS.COM — Wali Kota Pangkalpinang, Prof. Udin, turun langsung meninjau genangan banjir rob yang melanda kawasan pesisir Kampung Seberang pada Minggu siang (7/12/2025). Dalam kunjungan lapangan itu, ia didampingi camat, lurah, dan sejumlah warga setempat.

 

Saat menyusuri jalan yang tergenang, Wali Kota menyempatkan diri berkeliling ke rumah-rumah warga. Sejumlah emak-emak terlihat antusias menyambut kedatangannya. Bantuan makanan siap saji langsung diserahkan kepada warga terdampak untuk memenuhi kebutuhan mendesak.

“Daerah ini selalu jadi langganan banjir setiap hujan deras, Pak. Kami minta solusi agar wilayah kami tidak terus terendam,” ujar warga.

 

Dalam dialog dengan warga, Prof. Udin menegaskan bahwa pemerintah telah menyiapkan langkah jangka panjang mengatasi banjir rob di kawasan pesisir.

 

“Kami akan melakukan pengerukan alur pada tahun 2026 untuk pendalaman sungai. Ini langkah penting untuk mengantisipasi banjir ke depan. Kami juga meminta warga tetap menjaga kebersihan dan rutin gotong royong,” jelasnya.

 

Ia menambahkan bahwa pemerintah kota juga telah mengusulkan pembangunan bendung karet kepada pemerintah pusat. Bendung karet merupakan infrastruktur modern berbahan kantong karet yang bisa mengembang dan mengempis sesuai kebutuhan pengaturan permukaan air sungai. Fasilitas ini mampu menaikkan muka air untuk irigasi, pasokan air baku, sekaligus berperan penting dalam mitigasi banjir dan mencegah intrusi air laut.

 

Menurut Prof. Udin, Pemkot telah melobi pemerintah pusat untuk bantuan tambahan berupa pompa air kapasitas besar dan pembangunan bendung karet di titik-titik rawan.

 

“Setiap tahun banjir melanda tiga kelurahan, yaitu Kelurahan Opas Indah, Rawa Bangun, dan Gedung Nasional. Karena itu, kami meminta pemerintah pusat membantu percepatan penanganannya,” tegasnya.

 

Dengan langkah-langkah struktural dan dorongan kerja sama antara pemerintah pusat dan daerah, Wali Kota optimistis penanganan banjir rob di Pangkalpinang akan jauh lebih efektif dalam beberapa tahun mendatang. (Yuko)
