PANGKALPINANG, PERKARANEWS.COM — Wali Kota Pangkalpinang Prof Saparudin, atau yang akrab disapa Prof Udin, menyerahkan langsung bantuan alat bantu kesehatan kepada dua orang lansia di Kelurahan Masjid Jamik, Kamis (4/12/2025).
Bantuan berupa kursi roda dan tongkat tripod ini merupakan bagian dari program tanggap sosial kepada lansia, serta masyarakat yang membutuhkan dari Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Pangkalpinang, yang bersumber dari Anggaran Pendapatan Belanja Daerah (APBD).
Prof Udin menjelaskan, dukungan pemerintah daerah terhadap kelompok lansia tidak hanya berhenti pada bantuan alat mobilitas, tetapi juga mencakup pelayanan kesehatan khusus.
“Untuk usia lansia ini kita ada beberapa program selain memberikan bantuan. Di bidang kesehatan, kita sudah menyiapkan layanan khusus untuk lansia yaitu Unit Geriatri di RSUD Depati Hamzah. Dalam waktu dekat akan kita resmikan,” ujarnya.
Menurutnya, perhatian terhadap lansia menjadi salah satu indikator penting dalam pembangunan daerah. Untuk itu, menegaskan, kegiatan sosial seperti ini akan terus dilanjutkan dan ditingkatkan ke depannya, karena dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup lansia, serta memperluas akses pelayanan kesehatan dan sosial bagi masyarakat.
“Tujuannya tentu karena indikator pemerintahan daerah itu salah satunya adalah lamanya usia hidup, kesehatan masyarakat, dan indeks pembangunan manusia. Program seperti ini akan terus berlanjut,” katanya.
Pada kesempatan ini, Pemkot Pangkalpinang menyalurkan bantuan alat mobilitas dengan total 37 orang yang tersebar di 7 Kecamatan se-Kota Pangkalpinang, di antaranya 16 kursi roda, 15 tongkat tripod, 2 kruk, dan 4 walker, dengan total anggaran sebesar Rp48 juta.
Sementara itu, salah satu penerima bantuan, mengaku sangat terbantu dengan adanya kursi roda yang ia terima.
“Alhamdulillah, saya sangat bersyukur. Sudah lama saya kesulitan berjalan jauh. Dengan bantuan ini, saya bisa bergerak lebih mudah. Terima kasih kepada Pak Wali Kota dan semua yang peduli kepada kami,” pungkasnya. (Yuko)
