PANGKALPINANG,PERKARANEWS – PT Timah Tbk memfasilitasi puluhan mahasiswa Pulau Belitung untuk mudik gratis. Program ini hasil kerja sama PT Timah dan Kementerian BUMN.
Setelah memberangkatkan mahasiswa dari Pulau Jawa pada 19 Maret lalu, PT Timah kembali memberangkatkan 88 mahasiswa dari Pulau Bangka. Pelepasan mahasiswa dilakukan di Graha Timah Pangkalpinang, Rabu (26/3/2025).
Peserta mudik akan menempuh jalur laut dari Pelabuhan Pangkalbalam menuju Pelabuhan Tanjung Pandan, Kabupaten Belitung.
Ketua Ikatan Pelajar Keluarga Belitong (IKPB) Cabang Bangka, Devan, mengatakan program ini disambut antusias. Banyak mahasiswa yang mendaftar, bahkan mencapai 400 orang.
“Program ini sangat membantu menghemat biaya mudik yang mahal. Kami harap kuota peserta bisa ditambah di tahun depan,” ujar Devan.
Kaiyisah Nadiya Hafizah, mahasiswa Poltekkes Kemenkes Pangkalpinang, mengaku senang bisa ikut mudik gratis. Ia merasa terbantu dengan program ini, terutama dalam menghemat biaya.
Hal senada diungkapkan Iren Ajeng, mahasiswa Universitas Bangka Belitung. Ia berharap program ini terus ada dan kuota pesertanya ditambah.(MJ01)
