PWI Babel, DLHK, KPHP Bahas Penghijauan DAM I Pemali dengan PT Timah Tbk

PANGKALPINANG,PERKARANEWS – Persatuan Wartawan Indonesia (PWI) Kepulauan Babel, DLHK Babel dan KPH Sigambir Kotawaringin menggelar pertemuan dengan pihak PT Timah Tbk, terkait agenda penghijauan DAM 1 Pemali Kabupaten Bangka, yang akan dilaksanakan 28 Desember 2023.

Pertemuan berlangsung di Ruang Sidang kantor pusat PT Timah Tbk, Pangkalpinang, Selasa (19/12/2023). Sekretaris PWI Babel Fakhruddin Halim yang mewakili Ketua PWI Babel M Fathurrakhman menyampaikan terkait latar belakang kegiatan dan kesiapan panitia.

Menurutnya, kegiatan bertajuk, “Selamatkan Sumber Air Baku Masyarakat Kabupaten Bangka”, merupakan sebagai upaya bersama dalam menjaga sumber air baku bagi masyarakat khususnya Sungailiat, Kabupaten Bangka.

“Momen tersebut juga berkaitan memperingati hari jadi Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belutung ke-23 dan HUT PDAM Tirta Bangka ke-32,” ujar Fakhruddin.

Ditambahkan dia, selain melakukan penghijauan dengan menanam bibit pohon kayu putih, momen tersebut menjadi bagian dalam mengedukasi masyarakat tentang betapa pentingnya menjaga sumber air baku yang sangat bermanfaat bagi kehidupan.

“Makanya, kami melibatkan seluruh stakeholder, pengiat lingkungan, mahasiswa, tokoh agama untuk bersama-sama melakulan penghijauan di DAM I yang selama ini menjadi salah satu sumber air baku bagi masyarakat,” kata Fakhruddin yang didampingi Sekretaris Panitia Marsah Jupa dan Eka Firmansyah.

Menurut dia, PWI telah melakukan komunikasi dengan Forkopimda Babel dan Kabupaten Bangka terkait penghijauan yang diagendakan tersebut.

“Gerakan membangun kesadaran ini harus terus dilakukan dan digaungkan. Apalagi semakin banyak yang terlibat, secara opini gaungnya akan semakin besar yang pada akhirnya bisa terbangun kesadaran bersama dalam menjaga kelestarian sumber air baku,” paparnya.

Selain penanaman pohon, pada momen tersebut juga akan dilakulan penandatanganan pakta integritas bersama sebagai wujud komitmen bersama dalam menjaga dan melestarikan Kolong DAM I Pemali.

Sementara Kepala Bidang Pengelolaan Daerah Aliran Sungai, Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam dan Ekosistem dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat, Dinas Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan Provinsi Babel, Ali Thariq Batavian, mengatakan Pemprov Babel mendukung inisiasi yang dilakukan PWI Babel dalam melakukan penghijauan di Kolong DAM I Pemali.

“Kami mewakili Pak Kadis DLHK mendukung kegiatan ini, bahkan kawan-kawan PWI Babel, sebelumnya juga sudah bertemu dengan Pj Gubernur Babel membahas agenda ini. Intinya tidak ada persoalan dan sangat support dalam menyukseskan kegiatan penghijauan ini,” katanya.

Sedangkan perwakilan KPHP Sigambir Kotawaringin, Yudi mengatakan beberapa waktu terakhir sempat ada kegiatan penambangan timah secara ilegal di Kolong DAM I Pemali, dan pihaknya bersama APH sudah beberapa kali melakukan penertiban.

“Beberapa bulan terakhir masyarakat Kota Sungaikiat mengeluhkan air dari PDAM berwarna cokelat atau keruh,” ujarnya.

Kemudian, Yudi mengatakan lokasi dimaksud masuk IUP PT Timah Tbk, karenanya ingin sekaligus berkaloborasi dalam menyukseskan kegiatan pengijaun.

“Jadi kami pikir ini merupakan kewajiban bersama. Kedepan dengan penghijauan kelelestarian Kolong DAM I Pemali dapat tetap terjaga. Jadi lebih pada bagaimana membangun kolaborasi untuk kesuksekan penghijauan,” ujar dia.

Sementara Kepala Divisi K3LH PT Timah Tbk, Tonggo P. Situmorang menyambut baik agenda penghijauan yang akan dilaksanakan. Pihaknya siap mendukung suksesnya pelaksanaan kegiatan.

Ditambahkan Kristin dari K3LH perlu diketahui meski masih di IUP PT Timah Tbk, namun tidak ada kegiatan penambangan dan reklamasi yang dilakukan perusahaan di lokasi tersebut.

“Apalagi kegiatan ini adalah penghijauan atau penanaman pohon sebagaimana tadi sudah dijelaskan pihak DLHK, sangat baik sekali dan kami mendukung pelaksanaannya,” ujar dia. (Yuko)
