Langkah Konkrit PT Timah Tbk Mendukung Pendidikan Disabilitas, Tak Pernah Absen Mendukung Yayasan YPAC Pangkalpinang

PANGKALPINANG,PERKARANEWS – Penyandang disabilitas adalah bagian dari masyarakat, membantu mereka dalam pemenuhan hak terus dilakukan berbagai pihak termasuk PT Timah Tbk.

PT Timah Tbk mengambil langkah proaktif untuk mendukung pendidikan disabilitas. Dalam upaya meningkatkan aksesibilitas dan inklusivitas, anggota holding Industri Pertambangan MIND ID ini memiliki beberapa program untuk mendukung penyandang disabilitas.

PT Timah Tbk pada tahun 2023 ini telah memberikan sebanyak 14 unit kursi roda bagi penyandang disabilitas di Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung mulai dari anak-anak hingga lansia.

Dalam memberikan kesempatan kerja bagi penyandang disabilitas, PT Timah Tbk juga memberikan ruang bagi penyandang disabilitas menjadi pekerja di PT Timah Tbk, saat ini ada sekitar puluhan pekerja PT Timah Tbk merupakan penyandang disabilitas. Selain itu, akses sarana dan prasarana di kantor PT Timah Tbk juga terbilang ramah bagi disabilitas.

PT Timah Tbk pada pertengahan tahun 2023 lalu juga menerima kunjungan Komisi Nasional Disabilitas (KND) Republik Indonesia yang sekaligus menyosialisasikan tentang pengarusutamaan Disabitalitas.

Di sektor Pendidikan, PT Timah Tbk sejak tahun 1955 telah mendukung Yayasan YPAC Pangkalpinang untuk memberikan akses pendidikan bagi penyandang disabilitas di Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung.

Setelah 68 tahun berdiri, PT Timah Tbk tak pernah absen mendukung Yayasan YPAC Pangkalpinang melalui bantuan finansial maupun aset perusahaan.

Ketua Umum Pengurus Yayasan YPAC Pangkalpinang Dailami Zuyadi mengatakan, PT Timah Tbk terus mendukung Yayasan YPAC untuk memberikan pendidikan terbaik bagi penyandang disabilitas. Melalui program CSR Perusahaan, Emiten TINS ini membantu Yayasan YPAC untuk terus eksis.

“Gedung sekolah ini juga aset PT Timah Tbk, berdirinya Yayasan YPAC ini juga tidak lepas dari inisiasi dan peran dari PT Timah Tbk. Sampai saat ini kami juga masih dibantu secara finansial untuk operasional sekolah dari PT Timah Tbk,” kata Dailami belum lama ini.

Ia menyebutkan, saat ini ada sekitar 130 anak dengan berbagai ketunaan belajar di YPAC Pangkalpinang. Ratusan anak tercatat telah menjadi alumni dari sekolah ini.

PT Timah Tbk juga rutin membantu kegiatan pengembangan anak-anak di YPAC Pangkalpinang, seperti untuk kegiatan lomba dan hiburan.

“Tidak hanya kegiatan pendidikan, tapi juga kegiatan untuk anak-anak ikut perlombaan dan kegiatan yang lainnya. Tahun 2021 lalu, PT Timah Tbk juga ikut memeriahkan peringatan Hari Disabilitas Internasional,” ucapnya.

Seiring waktu YPAC Pangkalpinang juga terus berkembang, mereka saat ini memiliki Rumah Tumbuh Kembang Anak (RTKA) untuk mendukung proses pendidikan dan terapi anak-anak berkebutuhan khusus.

“PT Timah Tbk bisa dibilang lebih dari orang tua asuh kepada Yayasan YPAC Pangkalpinang, karena memang selalu membantu tidak hanya operasional tapi juga acara-acara,” ucapnya.

Ia berharap, PT Timah Tbk terus eksis sehingga bisa terus berperan dalam mendukung pendidikan bagi penyandang disabilitas.

“Semoga PT Timah Tbk terus sukses dan jaya kembali. Sehingga bisa terus mendukung pendidikan anak-anak disabilitas,” harapnya.

PT Timah Tbk juga berkolaborasi dengan stakeholder untuk membantu kelompok disabilitas seperti dengan Dinas Sosial dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Desa Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung. (Yuko)
