PANGKALPINANG,PERKARANEWS – Wakil Ketua DPRD Bangka Belitung, Eddy Iskandar, menyambut kedatangan dua korban Tindak Pidana Perdagangan Orang (TPPO) asal Pangkalpinang yang berhasil dipulangkan dari Myanmar. Pertemuan tersebut berlangsung di Rumah Perlindungan dan Trauma Center (RPTC) Bambu Apus, Jakarta, pada Rabu (5/3/2025).
Kedua korban TPPO tersebut diketahui bernama Yulian dan Reza. Eddy Iskandar mengungkapkan bahwa informasi mengenai adanya korban TPPO ini pertama kali ia terima pada 24 Februari lalu dari Kepala Dinas Tenaga Kerja Babel. Sejak saat itu, ia terus memantau dan berkoordinasi untuk mengetahui kondisi warga Babel yang ditahan di Myanmar.
“Saya bersyukur dan bahagia sekali bisa bertemu langsung, ngobrol dan melihat kondisi Reza, dengan bantuan dari sahabat saya Pak Fitriansyah dan juga komunikasi intens dengan Wakil Menteri P2MI Ibu Cristhina Aryani jg perkenaan dari kepala RPTC, Ibu Ani. Saya sangat berterimakasih sekali atas segala bantuannya,” ungkap Eddy Iskandar.
Eddy Iskandar juga mengajak warga Babel untuk mendoakan para korban yang masih berada di Myanmar agar proses kepulangan mereka segera dimudahkan, terutama di bulan suci Ramadhan ini. Ia juga meminta Pemerintah Provinsi Babel dan pihak kepolisian untuk aktif terlibat dalam menyelesaikan dan mencegah kasus TPPO ini di masa depan.
“Ini tentu menjadi tugas Pemprov melalui Disnaker dalam menyiapkan individu-individu yang secara keahlian memadai dan secara bahasa juga memahami, yang ketika menerima tawaran kerja di luar negeri mereka sudah siap skill dan bahasanya sehingga tidak mudah tertipu oleh pihak luar,” ujarnya.
Eddy Iskandar menekankan pentingnya peran pemerintah dalam menyiapkan tenaga kerja yang memiliki keterampilan dan pemahaman bahasa yang memadai agar tidak mudah tertipu oleh tawaran kerja di luar negeri. Ia berharap kasus TPPO ini menjadi pelajaran berharga bagi semua pihak untuk lebih waspada dan berhati-hati dalam mencari pekerjaan di luar negeri.
Kasus TPPO ini menjadi perhatian serius bagi pemerintah dan masyarakat. Diharapkan dengan upaya bersama, kasus serupa tidak akan terulang kembali di masa depan.(MJ01)
