Narsum MPLS di SMAN 4 Pangkalpinang, Sudarman Dorong Siswa Bijak Bermedia Sosial

PANGKALPINANG,PERKARANEWS – Kepala Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika (Diskominfo) Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Kep. Babel) Sudarman, berkesempatan hadir sebagai narasumber di kegiatan Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah (MPLS) SMAN 4 Pangkalpinang, Rabu (17/7/2024).

Hadirnya ia di SMAN 4 Pangkalpinang sebagai pemateri MPLS membawa suasana nostalgia. Sebab, Sudarman dulunya adalah tenaga pendidik, bahkan sempat menjabat sebagai Wakil Kepala SMAN 4 Pangkalpinang di bidang Kurikulum pada tahun 1992 yang silam.

Diikuti oleh peserta didik baru, Sudarman memaparkan materi bertema “Bijak Bermedia Sosial, Membangun Citra Positif di Era Digital Demi Masa Depan Cemerlang”.

“Media itu cara kita berkomunikasi, sedangkan sosial itu interaksi antara individual. Oleh sebabnya, kita dituntut untuk bijak dalam berkomunikasi dalam media sosial,” jelasnya.

Dengan bijak, menurut Sudarman, maka aktivitas berselancar internet akan meminimalisir akan pengaruh-pengaruh berita-berita hoaks. Untuk faktor utama pendorong tumbuh suburnya penggunaan media sosial, yakni perkembangan telepon seluler menjadi perangkat utama untuk mengakses internet.

“Kalau dulu, mulutmu harimau mu, tapi kalau sekarang HP itu adalah harimau mu. Intinya, kalau kita menerima informasi jangan kita langsung sebarluaskan, tetapi kita harus cari fakta-faktanya dulu, apakah berita itu hoaks apa tidak? Jadi harus hati-hati dengan berita yang belum ada kebenarannya,” tegasnya.

Sebaliknya, menurut Sudarman kepada para siswa baru agar menggunakan sosial media untuk hal-hal positif, terutama menjadikan pendapatan baru dengan menjadi konten kreator.

“Media sosial ini bisa menjadi alat promosi bisnis yang efektif, karena dapat diakses oleh siapa saja, sehingga jaringan promosi bisa lebih luas,” sebutnya.

Di sela-sela paparan, Sudarman cukup interaktif dengan peserta, dengan memberikan ruang peserta untuk bertanya. Seperti pertanyaan berat hukuman bagi mereka penyebar hoaks, dan lain-lainnya.

“Jadi lah pengguna yang bijak, dan hati-hati, sehingga tidak dirugikan karena ketidaktahuannya. Saya harap literasi mereka akan lebih meningkat dan terus-menerus kita arahkan supaya menjadi lebih baik dalam bermedia sosial tersebut,” ungkapnya.

Sementara itu, perwakilan SMAN 4 Pangkalpinang, Muhammad Nasrul menyebutkan penting bagi mereka untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa baru agar bijak dalam bermedia sosial. Sebab, tidak dapat dipungkiri, katanya, usia pelajar SMA aktif dalam bermedia sosial, dan tidak mungkin menemukan beberapa siswa yang tidak bijak menggunakan media sosial, seperti mengeluarkan hujatan dalam berkomentar atau mengeluarkan ujaran kebencian.

“Kami merasa tepat untuk mendatangkan Diskominfo (Kep. Babel) untuk menjadi narasumber dalam kegiatan kali ini untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa berkomunikasi, bahwa sekarang media sosial itu adalah salah satu media alat komunikasi, sehingga kita harus mengontrol mereka dalam hal penggunaan media sosial. Dari mereka pun agar mereka paham dan betul cara yang tepat dan bijak dalam penggunaan media sosial,” ujarnya.(Yuko)
