BELITUNG TIMUR,PERKARANEWS — PT Timah merangkul dan mendorong peran pemuda dalam mendukung pembangunan daerah. Salah satunya dengan mendukung KNPI Belitung Timur.
PT Timah Tbk ikut menyukseskan pelantikan dan pengukuhan pengurus DPD KNPI Kabupaten Belitung Timur Tahun 2023-2026.
Pelantikan dan pengukuhan itu dihadiri oleh Bupati Beltim, Burhanudin di Auditorium Zahari MZ Kabupaten Beltim, Sabtu (24/2/2024).
Ketua DPD KNPI Belitung Timur, Wahyu Setiawan, mengatakan, dirinya akan mengemban tugas yang telah diberikan.
“Hari ini sudah diemban dalam mendorong kemajuan pemuda. Tugas pertama yang akan dilakukan adalah merealisasikan program kerja yang sudah direncanakan,” kata Wahyu Setiawan.
Menurutnya, pengurus yang dilantik berjumlah 85 orang yang akan mengisi beberapa bidang di DPD KNPI Beltim.
Wahyu juga memberikan apresiasi kepada PT Timah, sebagai salah satu perusahaan BUMN yang berdiri lama di Beltim ini dan telah peduli dengan kegiatan kepemudaan.
“Kami mengucapkan terima kasih atas support dan bantuan yang diberikan oleh PT Timah,” jelasnya.
Menurutnya, PT Timah telah berperan dalam memajukan pemuda Beltim, namun perlu perhatian yang lebih dalam meninggatkan SDM pemuda saat ini.
“Kehadiran pihak yang peduli terhadap kemajuan sangat diperlukan sebagai bentuk kepedulian terhadap generasi penerus yang akan memajukan bangsa dan daerah,” sebutnya.
Kemudian kata Wahyu, sebagai perusahaan BUMN yang berusaha di Kabupaten Beltim dalam pemanfaatan sumber daya alam, ia harapkan PT Timah dapat memberikan kontribusi di Kabupaten Beltim khususnya terhadap peningkatan kemajuan pemuda.
“Adanya sinergitas dan kepedulian maka dampak dan hasil yang diterima masyarakat akan sepadan,” tandasnya. (Yuko)
