BANGKA SELATAN,PERKARANEWS – Komunitas Pemuda-Pemudi Berkarya (Pepaya Creative) kini makin berkembang dan eksis setelah mendapatkan dukungan dari PT Timah.
Komunitas yang berdiri sejak 2014 lalu, di Dusun Pairem, Desa Rias, Kecamatan Toboali, Kabupaten Bangka Selatan, Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung tersebut kini lebih berani menerima berbagai pesanan dari konsumen.
Berkat dukungan dari PT Timah untuk melengkapi workshop dengan berbagai peralatan untuk membuat berbagai kerajinan, membuat komunitas ini semakin mandiri dan mampu bersaing.
Ketua Komunitas Pepaya Creative Iwan Sanjaya menceritakan, sekarang mereka lebih berani untuk menerima berbagai pesanan kerajinan karena sudah memiliki peralatan yang lengkap dengan bantuan dari PT Timah.
Selain itu, PT Timah juga membantu mereka untuk membangun workshop tempat mengerjakan berbagai pesanan konsumen.
“Sekarang ini lebih luas workshopnya, dengan adanya peralatan seperti adanya kompresor, alat-alat pertukaran yang memang sesuai spek, kita berani terima pekerjaan, bahkan menawarkan ke konsumen,” ujarnya.
Dirinya juga mengakui kontribusi anggota Holding Pertambangan MIND ID tersebut sangat terasa bagi komunitasnya dalam beraktifitas.
“Sebelumnya, kalau hujan kita harus berhenti, kalau panas kita harus berhenti, kalau sekarang tidak lagi, kami merasa terbantulah dengan adanya workshop ini, sekarang lebih lebih percaya dirilah,” ceritanya.
Bantuan workshop dan peralatan petukangan dari PT Timah berdampak untuk anggota dan masyarakat, sebab makin banyak anggota-anggota baru.
“Sedangkan untuk masyarakat, beberapa bulan lalu peralatan juga pernah digunakan untuk kegiatan gotong-royong di Masjid dan kami sangat terbuka sekali kepada masyarakat jika ingin menggunakan peralatan kami ini,” sebutnya.
Kini, Iwan dan kawan-kawan lebih percaya diri memasarkan jasa ataupun produknya ke konsumen.
Iwan mencontohkan untuk pertukangan kayu seperti kusen pintu mereka sudah bisa mengerjakan karena sudah memiliki alat. Begitu pula dengan pengecatan besi mereka sudah bisa mengerjakan karena sudah memiliki kompresor.
“Kita punya standar sendiri, itu mungkin yang membuat beda kalau dengan yang lain, sebab kalau untuk harga boleh sama, tapi kita lebih menjual kualitas, karena kualitas kita boleh diadu, kalau tidak nanti konsumennya akan pergi,” katanya.
Selain itu, dengan kemampuan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) yang mereka miliki, Iwan berharap PT Timah Tbk dapat terus mendukung dan mengembangkan Komunitas mereka.
“SDM kami hampir melingkupi semuanya, dari pertukangan besi, kayu, pengrajin, jadi semuanya itu ada. Tinggal nanti kami juga akan mengajukan beberapa peralatan yang lainnya, seperti trafo las, Laptop dan beberapa item lainnya,” ucapnya.
Kedepan, Ia berharap mereka bisa melakukan studi banding atau pelatihan keluar. Degan harapan dapat menambah wawasan, juga untuk memacu semangat anggota dalam berkreasi.(Yuko)
