BANGKA,PERKARANEWS — Polda Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Babel) melakukan penanaman sebanyak 1.300 pohon mangrove di lahan pasca tambang timah di Kawasan Lintas Timur, Kecamatan Merawang, Kabupaten Bangka, Rabu (21/2/2024).
Kapolda Bangka Belitung, Irjen Pol Dr. Tornagogo Sihombing, S.I.K., M.Si, mengatakan, penanaman mangrove ini dilakukan diatas satu hektar lahan gambut.
Kegiatan ini dikatakan Tornagogo akan terus digiatkan di wilayah Babel. Oleh karenanya ia mengajak masyarakat untuk ikut membudayakan menanam.
Hal itu untuk melestarikan lingkungan hidup, sehingga Babel bisa menghasilkan ekosistem yang lestari, lingkungan yang berekosistem baik dan lingkungan punya kehidupan dirasakan.
“Penanaman ini salah satu upaya mengantisipasi kebencanaan. Karena saya lebih mengkonsenkan banyak nya taham yang ada tu provinsi ini kita harus menjaga lingkungan kita. Kita konsenkan aktivitas dari tambang ilegal, kita harapkan ini dihentikan,” kata Tornagogo.
Kegiatan ini akan dilakukan di setiap kabupaten kota di Babel. Menurut Kapolda, Setiap hari ia akan mencari informasi daerah mana saja yang perlu ditanam.
Kegiatan penanaman ini juga menjadi fokus Polda Babel. sejauh ini sudah ada ribuan pohon yang ditanam oleh Polda Babel.
“Iya (fokus) kami punya personel, kami punya kapasitas untuk melakukan itu, sudah lumayan kami tanam dan ini terus. Pokoknya serentak kami datang, kami tanam,” ujarnya.
Dalam penanaman ini diiikuti oleh Wakapolda, Seluruh Pejabat Utama Polda serta Personel Polres Bangka.
Kegiatan ini juga serentak dilakukan di 7 Polres/ta jajaran Polda Bangka Belitung. (Yuko)
