JAKARTA,PERKARANEWS – PT TIMAH Tbk meraih penghargaan ESG Disclosure Transparency Awards 2023 dengan predikat Leadership AA yang diselenggarakan oleh Investortrust dan Bumi Global Karbon Foundation yang dilaksanakan, pada Rabu (29/11/2023) malam.
ESG Disclosure Transparency Awards 2023 merupakan apresiasi kepada perusahaan dengan kinerja baik dalam menjalankan konsep ESG dan menyampaikan Suistainability Report (SR).
Ini tahun kedua PT Timah Tbk meraih penghargaan ESG Disclosure Transparency Awards 2023, tahun 2022 lalu PT Timah Tbk meraih predikat Management BB.
Menurut Founder BGK Foundation, Achmad Deni Daruri, pemeringkatan tersebut mengacu pada pengungkapan faktor ESG dalam laporan keberlanjutan (sustainability report/SR).
“Penilaiannya sangat kredibel karena BGK Foundation merupakan anggota Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) dan Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD),” tegas Deni.
Ia juga mendorong Pemerintah untuk memberikan insentif bagi Perusahaan yang telah mengimplementasikan ESG sehingga semakin banyak perusahaan di Indonesia yang tergerak menjalankan ESG.
“Dengan melaksanakan ESG, perusahaan sesungguhnya sudah ikut membantu pemerintah mencapai target Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s). Jadi, wajar jika mereka diberi insentif. Insentif bisa diberikan dalam bentuk keringanan pajak atau kemudahan perizinan usaha,” ujarnya.
Deni mengungkapkan, dalam melakukan penilaian, BGK menggunakan metodologi berbasis 33 faktor, meliputi faktor ESG pasar modal terkemuka, studi peraturan, perjanjian internasional, serta standar dan pedoman pelaporan yang telah melalui proses audit dan jaminan (assurance) pihak ketiga yang independen.
“Evaluasi terhadap pengungkapan ESG perlu dilakukan untuk mengukur sejauh mana transparansi ESG yang telah dicapai perusahaan dan langkah apa yang dapat dipraktikkan untuk meningkatkan pencapaian pengungkapan ESG,” papar dia.
Pemimpin Redaksi investortrust.id, Primus Dorimulu menambahkan, kelebihan pengungkapan ESG yang menjadi dasar penilaian ESG Disclosure Transparency Awards 2023 di antaranya perusahaan menjadi lebih lincah (agile) dan unggul dalam menyesuaikan kondisi kerja, serta dapat menjawab berbagai kebutuhan dari lembaga rating ESG.
Perusahaan yang mengimplementasikan ESG akan mendapatkan sejumlah keuntungan seperti lebih mudah mendapatkan kepercayaan investor, perbankan maupun konsumen.
Tak kalah pentingnya, kata dia dengan Implementasi ESG perusahaan bisa menjaga kebelanjutan perusahaan yang juga memperhatikan aspek lingkungan dan sosial. Sehingga bisa memberikan keuntungan bersama.
“Selain itu, perusahaan akan semakin fokus pada keberlanjutan, dapat bertahan dalam situasi politik, sosial, dan lingkungan yang cepat berubah, serta menjadi legasi baru di tengah permasalahan ekonomi,” ujar Primus Dorimulu.
Ketua Tim Juri ESG Disclosure Transparency Awards 2023, Prof Roy Sembel menjelaskan, perusahaan yang menjalankan ESG di Tanah Air terus meningkat.
“Ini perkembangan positif. ESG harus menjadi concern bersama dan menjadi gerakan seluruh stakeholders bangsa ini,” ucap dia.
Roy Sembel mengakui, berbagai kajian menunjukkan, ESG mampu meningkatkan kredibilitas, kinerja bisnis, dan harga saham perusahaan. Tetapi banyak pula kajian yang menyatakan ESG tidak memiliki korelasi positif langsung dengan kinerja bisnis dan harga saham perusahaan.
“Terlepas dari itu, jika menjadi gerakan masif, ESG dapat menyelamatkan bumi dan generasi mendatang,” tuturnya.
Sekretaris Perusahaan PT Timah Tbk, Abdullah Umar mengatakan, PT Timah Tbk berkomitmen dalam mengimplementasikan prinsip-prinsip ESG dalam rantai bisnis perseroan.
PT Timah Tbk bersama MIND ID Group berkomitmen untuk mewujudkan net zero emission (NZE) melalui pendekatan ekonomi sirkular (Circular Economy).

PT Timah Tbk melakukan insiatif untuk melakukan pengelolaan lingkungan berkelanjutan, memberdayakan masyarakat lokal, dan mendukung kemandirian ekonomi masyarakat di wilayah operasional perusahaan.
