Tingkatkan Kualitas SDM di Lingkar Tambang, Program Kelas Beasiswa PT Timah Tbk Pada SMAN 1 Pemali Beri Kesempatan Pelajar Wujudkan Cita-cita

BANGKA,Perkaranews – Program Kelas Beasiswa PT Timah Tbk pada SMAN 1 Pemali membuka jalan bagi para siswa berprestasi dan kurang beruntung secara ekonomi untuk mewujudkan cita-citanya.

Hal ini disampaikan Kepala Cabang Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Wilayah II Bangka, Hendry dalam acara serah terima Peserta Didik Baru Program Kelas Beasiswa PT Timah Tbk pada SMAN 1 Pemali Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024 di Learning Center Pemali PT Timah Tbk, Senin (10/7/2023).

Serah terima Peserta Didik Baru Program Kelas Beasiswa PT Timah Tbk pada SMAN 1 Pemali Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024 ini juga dihadiri oleh Kepala Divisi CSR PT Timah Tbk Ebbi Wibisana, para pelajar, orang tua pelajar, perwakilan dari SMAN 1 Pemali dan pengurus asrama.

PT Timah Tbk tahun ini menerima sebanyak 36 siswa yang akan belajar di SMAN 1 Pemali melalui Program Kelas Beasiswa PT Timah Tbk. Puluhan pelajar ini berasal dari berbagai kabupaten di Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung, Kabupaten Karimun dan Kabupaten Meranti.

“Terima kasih PT Timah Tbk membantu Dinas Pendidikan untuk memberikan kesempatan bagi para siswa yang ingin meraih cita-citanya terutama bagi siswa yang kurang mampu untuk sekolah lebih tinggi,” kata Hendry.

Menurutnya, program kelas beasiswa PT Timah Tbk ini juga upaya perusahaan untuk meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia di lingkar tambang.

“Semoga kegiatan ini terus berlanjut dan Dinas Pendidikan sangat support sekali, karena melalui program ini membantu orang tua yang tidak mampu untuk mewujudukan cita-cita anak mereka. Program ini juga terasa langsung manfaatnya bagi pelajar apalagi PT Timah Tbk juga memberikan kesempatan untuk melanjutkan ke jenjang lebih tinggi,” katanya.

Sementara itu, Kepala Divisi CSR PT Timah Tbk Ebbi Wibisana mengatakan, program kelas beasiswa PT Timah Tbk tahun ini diikuti sebanyak 257 pendaftar. Antusias peserta mengikuti program ini setiap tahunnya terus meningkat.

“Adik-adik di tempat ini, nanti kalian akan mengikuti berbagai program pembinaan seperti pembinaan kepemimpinan, kedisplinan, akademik, kerohanian, kemampuan berbahasa, pembinaan pendidikan lanjutan, dan pelajaran-pelajaran lainnya dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan soft skill para siswa,” katanya.

Lebih lanjut, Ebby mengatakan ini baru langkah awal bagi para pelajar untuk memperjuangkan cita-cita yang telah diraih. Sehingga para siswa diminta untuk belajar dengan tekun dan tetap menjaga motivasinya dalam menuntut ilmu.

“PT Timah Tbk melalui CSR punya program untuk menciptakan sarjana di kabupaten/kota wilayah operasional perusahaan. Ini baru langkah awal adik-adik sehingga nantinya bisa mencapai cita-cita untuk berkuliah di universitas yang diinginkan. Tantangan ke depan tidak mudah, siapkan mental agar dapat mencapai cita-cita dan berusahalah untuk mencapai itu,” pesan Ebbi.

Salah satu orang tua siswa, Aulia Akbar (39) warga Toboali, Bangka Selatan mengatakan, mendukung penuh anaknya untuk bisa mencapai cita-citanya.

“Anak saya memang mau ikut ini dan saya bilang ini peluang bagus dan kesempatan emas. Dia memang benar niat untuk sekolah di sini dan saya mendukung dengan penuh. Saya bangga benar anak saya bisa lulus,” ceritanya.

Menurutnya, program PT Timah Tbk ini merupakan langkah nyata untuk membantu masyarakat dalam hal pendidikan.

“Sangat terbantu sekali, anak saya punya kesempatan untuk sekolah dan meraih cita-citanya. Ini juga membantu kami secara ekonomi, karena semua difasilitasi PT Timah Tbk,” sebutnya.

Senada, anaknya M. Revaldi Rahman mengatakan dirinya mempersiapkan diri dengan matang untuk bisa lulus program ini. Ia bahkan tak bisa menutupi rasa bahagianya ketika dinyatakan lulus program kelas beasiswa PT Timah Tbk.

“Senang banget, karena ini memang keinginan saya. Dua bulan lebih saya mempersiapkan ini agar bisa lulus karena di sini iklim belajarnya sangat mendukung. Program ini bukan hanya membantu meringankan beban ekonomi keluarga tapi juga mendukung kami para pelajar untuk mengembangkan minat dan bakat,” ucapnya. (Yuko)
