RIAS,PerkaraNews.com – Penjabat (Pj) Gubernur Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Prov. Kep. Babel) Ridwan Djamaluddin mendukung lumbung pangan di Babel.
Ia bersama Bupati dan Wakil Bupati Bangka Selatan (Basel) meninjau langsung panen raya padi IP200 pada lahan seluas 1458,5 hektar di Dusun Air Pairem Desa Rias Kabupaten Bangka Selatan, Senin (3/10/22).
“Di sini adalah salah satu lumbung pangan di Kep. Babel, dan ini merupakan hal yang sangat penting. Saya sudah mendengar bahwa kualitas beras di sini bagus, kelompok petani dan masyarakatnya juga antusias,” ujar Pj. Gubernur Kep. Babel.
Dalam dialog dengan petani, dirinya mendengar kendala yang dihadapi para petani dalam meningkatkan produktivitas hasil panen. Salah satunya, ketika panen berlimpah, petani justru mengeluh karena harga beras menurun. Sehingga, Bupati Bangka Selatan Riza Herdavid mengeluarkan kebijakan agar masyarakat khususnya seluruh ASN Kabupaten Bangka Selatan membeli produk beras dari para petani ini.
Terkait hal ini, Pj. Gubernur Kep. Babel Ridwan Djamaluddin bersepakat dengan Bupati Riza Herdavid, untuk mengupayakan agar saat panen raya tiba dan hasilnya berlimpah, hasil panen tersebut dapat diserap oleh daerah-daerah lain dengan harga stabil, sehingga tidak sampai jatuh di bawah harga standar.
“Untuk mengantisipasi panen raya yang diperkirakan pertengahan Oktober nanti (panen tidak terjadi secara serentak), kita harus buat program agar harga tidak jatuh dan tetap berada pada tataran harga standar,” ungkapnya.
Selain itu, kondisi alam menjadi sebab lain dalam upaya meningkatkan produktivitas hasil panen. Yaitu adanya saluran yang tersumbat, sehingga mengakibatkan banyak petani gagal panen karena terjadinya banjir besar. Kemudian irigasi banyak yang jebol karena sudah berumur puluhan tahun.
Kades Rias, Muslim, pada kesempatan yang sama mengatakan, dalam satu hektar tanah diperkirakan produksi hingga 5-7 ton pada tanam pertama lalu, tetapi untuk saat ini diperkirakan hanya 4 ton saja. Panen raya terjadi tidak secara merata dan diperkirakan sekitar pertengahan hingga akhir Oktober tahun ini.
Dirinya juga menambahkan kendala lain menurunnya produktivitas adalah, adanya serangan hama tikus, burung, penyakit tanaman kerdil pada padi, dan terakhir, banjir.
“Dulu masih ada serapan, tapi sekarang sudah tidak ada lagi sehingga kalau ada hujan, langsung masuk ke sini,” ungkapnya.
Pada momen ini, Pj. Gubernur Kep. Babel Ridwan Djamaluddin terlihat mencoba mengendarai mesin combine atau mesin pemanen padi untuk melihat cara kerja mesin tersebut secara langsung. Terlihat padi langsung keluar dari mesin dalam bentuk gabah yang dimasukkan ke dalam karung.(R5/RLS)
