Kali ini, perusahaan menyerahkan bantuan untuk pelaksanaan Turnamen Bola Voli Karang Taruna Cup II Desa Air Putih, Kecamatan Mentok, Kabupaten Bangka Barat.
Kegiatan yang digelar dalam rangka memperingati Hari Sumpah Pemuda ini mengusung tema “Satukan Semangat Raih Prestasi, Wujudkan Desa Air Putih Bersinar.” Turnamen resmi dibuka di Lapangan Voli Pabrik Keranji, Desa Air Putih, Jumat (7/11/2025).
Sebanyak 38 tim dari berbagai klub ikut ambil bagian dalam kompetisi ini, terdiri dari 22 tim putra dan 16 tim putri, termasuk satu klub tamu dari Pangkalpinang, yakni Majesti Club.
Ketua Panitia Pelaksana, Deri Suprianto, menyampaikan bahwa turnamen ini menjadi ajang positif bagi para pemuda untuk menyalurkan minat dan bakat di bidang olahraga, sekaligus wadah menjaring atlet berpotensi untuk menghadapi Pekan Olahraga Provinsi (Porprov).
“Kami berterima kasih kepada PT TIMAH Tbm atas dukungannya dalam menyukseskan kegiatan ini. Bantuan dari PT TIMAH Tbk akan kami manfaatkan untuk kebutuhan akomodasi dan perlengkapan pertandingan,” ujar Deri.
Ia berharap, kehadiran PT TIMAH Tbk terus memberikan dampak positif bagi masyarakat, khususnya dalam menggerakkan semangat kepemudaan di Desa Air Putih.
“Semoga PT TIMAH Tbm semakin maju dan terus berkontribusi untuk kegiatan masyarakat, terutama di bidang kepemudaan,” tambahnya.
Salah satu atlet lokal, Kevin dari tim Air Putih IV, juga menyambut antusias kegiatan ini.
“Turnamen ini sangat bermanfaat. Selain memajukan atlet-atlet muda, kegiatan seperti ini juga mendukung UMKM dan menarik banyak pengunjung ke Desa Air Putih,” ungkapnya.
Sementara itu, Kepala Desa Air Putih, Sulaiman, menyampaikan apresiasinya atas perhatian dan dukungan PT TIMAH Tbk terhadap pembangunan desa, termasuk dalam pemberdayaan pemuda dan masyarakat.
“Selain membantu turnamen voli ini, PT TIMAH Tbm juga telah membangun Farm Estate yang dikelola kelompok tani, memberikan bantuan hewan kurban saat Iduladha, dan banyak kontribusi lainnya. Kami berterima kasih atas komitmen PT Timah yang terus membantu memajukan Desa Air Putih,” kata Sulaiman.
