Puluhan Siswa SD Negeri 4 Mentok Mengunjungi Museum Timah Indonesia untuk Belajar Sejarah Lokal

BANGKA BARAT,PERKARANEWS – Minat pelajar untuk mengenal sejarah lokal terus tumbuh. Hal ini tampak dari kunjungan puluhan siswa SD Negeri 4 Mentok, Kabupaten Bangka Barat ke Museum Timah Indonesia (MTI) Mentok yang merupakan salah satu destinasi edukasi sejarah Bangka Barat.

Sebanyak 50 siswa didampingi guru dan orang tua terlihat antusias mengikuti pembelajaran langsung di museum yang juga menjadi bagian dari kawasan Cagar Budaya tersebut. Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari program studi sekolah dalam mendukung implementasi Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5), khususnya pada tema kearifan lokal.

Guru pendamping, Marlena, menjelaskan bahwa kunjungan ini bertujuan mengenalkan sejarah kota Mentok dan peran penting timah bagi masyarakat Bangka.

“Kunjungan ini merupakan bagian dari pembelajaran P5 kami ingin menanamkan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dan sejarah kepada siswa. Di sekolah belum ada pembelajaran khusus mengenai sejarah timah dan kota Mentok, sehingga museum ini menjadi sarana belajar yang sangat bermanfaat,” ujarnya.

Dalam kegiatan ini, para siswa tidak hanya melihat langsung koleksi peninggalan sejarah pertimahan, tetapi juga mendapat penjelasan edukatif dari petugas museum. Kunjungan ini sekaligus melengkapi pembelajaran sebelumnya yang telah dilakukan di beberapa bangunan bersejarah seperti Klenteng dan Masjid Jami Mentok.

Orang tua siswa, Septiriani, turut mengapresiasi program pembelajaran di luar kelas ini.

“Sebagai orang tua, saya sangat senang anak kami bisa berkunjung ke Museum Timah. Mereka jadi lebih memahami sejarah kota Mentok dan pentingnya timah. Kegiatan seperti ini sangat positif untuk menambah wawasan anak-anak,” katanya.

Sementara itu, Genita, salah satu siswa SDN 4 Mentok, mengaku senang bisa belajar di luar kelas.

“Belajar di luar sekolah itu asyik dan menyenangkan. Kita bisa dapat ilmu baru yang tidak kita pelajari di kelas,” ungkapnya.

Hal senada juga disampaikan Rafi’i yang berharap dapat kembali mengikuti pembelajaran di museum.

“Senang bisa belajar sambil bermain bersama teman-teman. Semoga kami bisa datang ke sini lagi,” harapnya.(Yuko)
