Mahasiswa Polman Babel Berhasil Ciptakan Aplikasi Pengelola Bank Sampah Berbasis IoT

BANGKA,PERKARANEWS.COM – Mahasiswa dari Politeknik Manufaktur Negeri Bangka Belitung,  berhasil menciptakan aplikasi Sistem Informasi Pengelola Bank Sampah berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) yang sudah berhasil hasil mempresentasikan pada saat sidang proyek akhir beberapa waktu yang lalu, dan secara resmi menyerahkan alat ini ke Desa Karya Makmur, Jum’at sore (02/08/2024).

Acara penyerahan alat ini berlangsung ditempat lokasi gudang bank sampah Desa Karya Makmur, dihadiri oleh Ketua PKK, Dosen Pembimbing, Mahasiswa dan 10 orang pegawai yang mengolah sampah.

Pemantauan disini pengelolaan bank sampah mencakup pemilahan, pengumpulan, dan pengolahan atau pendauran ulang dari berbagai jenis sampah ini seperti, Plastik, kertas kardus, almunium dan besi dengan tujuan untuk mengurangi volume sampah yang masuk ke tempat pembuangan akhir dan mengurangi dampak lingkungan dari sampah.

Ketua PKK, Erliza, S.E. menyatakan kami sangat mendukung penerapan Sistem Informasi Pengelola Bank Sampah berbasis IoT ini. Dengan teknologi ini, kami yakin pengelolaan sampah dapat dilakukan lebih efisien dan efektif, serta membantu masyarakat dalam menjaga kebersihan lingkungan.

“Selain efisiensi, sistem ini juga dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya pengelolaan sampah yang baik. Kami berharap semua pihak dapat berpartisipasi aktif dalam program ini,” tambah Ketua PKK.

Dalam hal ini mesin sidang mahasiswa ini diharapkan dapat membantu PKK Desa dalam berbagai kegiatan produktif yang akan menunjang ekonomi keluarga di desa. Penyerahan mesin ini merupakan bagian dari komitmen kami untuk terus mendukung kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Semoga dengan adanya alat ini, PKK Desa dapat lebih maksimal dalam menjalankan program-programnya.

Selanjutnya, hasil penjualan sampah ini akan kami berikan sebagai insentif ekonomi kepada masyarakat terutama ibu -ibu  yang aktif berpartisipasi dalam program bank sampah serta sebagian dari hasil penjualan sampah juga disalurkan untuk dana infaq masjid setempat, sebagai bentuk dukungan untuk kegiatan keagamaan dan pembangunan rumah ibadah,”ujarnya.

Dalam kesempatan ini, Selaku Dosen pembimbing Riki Afriansyah.,M.T. menjelaskan aplikasi mesin ini dikembangkan oleh  mahasiswa yang melihat kebutuhan akan solusi inovatif dalam pengelolaan sampah. Dengan melihat potensi mahasiswa yang besar dan mendapatkan dukungan dari berbagai pihak dosen lainnya mereka berhasil menciptakan sistem yang mengintegrasikan berbagai perangkat IoT untuk memantau dan mengelola volume sampah secara real-time,”imbuhnya.

“Saya sangat bangga dengan pencapaian para mahasiswa. Mereka tidak hanya menguasai teori, tetapi juga mampu menerapkannya dalam bentuk inovasi yang nyata dan bermanfaat bagi masyarakat,” kata Riki.

Salah satu mahasiswa yang terlibat, Anjelin, berpendapat bahwa teknologi ini dapat menjadi solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan sampah di masyarakat.

“Kami berharap sistem ini dapat membantu mengatasi permasalahan sampah di masyarakat dan menginspirasi generasi muda lainnya untuk berkontribusi melalui inovasi teknologi,”tutup teguh.(Humas Polman Babel/ Yuko)
