BANGKA,PERKARANEWS – PT Timah telah mengumumkan para peserta yang lolos seleksi Program Pemali Boarding School di SMAN 1 Pemali, Bangka. Sebanyak 36 anak dinyatakan lulus yang berasal dari berbagai wilayah operasional perusahaan.
Setelah melalui berbagai rangkaian seleksi, salah satu siswa Ninda Setiawati (15) asal SMP N 3 Kundur Barat, Kabupaten Karimun, Provinsi Kepulauan Riau tidak menyangka jika dirinya bisa lulus program Pemali Boarding School PT Timah Tbk.
Semula, kata dia dirinya diajak oleh salah satu rekannya untuk mengikuti seleksi. Hal itupun disampaikan kepada orang tuanya dan mendapat dukungan dari keluarga untuk kebaikan masa depan dirinya.
“Deg-degan, khawatir, cemas dan takut juga, saat menunggu pengumuman kelulusan, saat hari pengumuman itu tiba, kami sudah nangis duluan, sebab takut tidak lulus,” cerita Ninda saat serah terima program kelas Beasiswa pekan lalu.
Ia menceritakan, dirinya mendapat kabar bahwa lulus saat mengikuti perpisahan di sekolah. Beragam perasaan tumbuh menjadi satu.
Sesampainya di rumah dirinya langsung menyampaikan kabar bahagia itu kepada orang tuanya. Reaksi kedua orang tuanya pun berbeda, ibunya menangis.
“Sesampainya di rumah, saya kasih ibu saya, bahwa saya lulus. Ibu sangat senang, lalu saya bilang, nanti jauh dari mama gimana, disitu mama nangis lalu saya juga ikut nangis. Tapi mama bilang, asalakan demi masa depan kamu, semuanya mama dukung. Pada saat itu, ayah gak ngasih, katanya jauh, jadi enggak usah ikut lah kata ayah, tapi kata mama udah lulus juga kok, mau gimana lagi,” cerita Ninda.
Dibalik kesedihan Ninda tersebut, dirinya sempat merasa senang tatkala diperjalanan menuju asrama Pemali, namun kebahagiaan itu hanya sesaat, dikala Ia telah tiba di asrama.
“Pada saat di Bandara, mama seperti berat untuk melepaskan keberangkatan saya, lalu saya bilang, Ma, saya akan wujudkan cita-cita saya. Diperjalanan, saya merasa senang karena bakal tinggal di asrama, enggak sedikitpun ada rasa sedih. Namun, setelah tiba di asrama, saya merasa kesepian dan teringat akan rumah dan kampung halaman, disitu saya ngerasa sedih dan nangis, karena jauh dari mereka,” ucapnya.
Dirinya harus belajar beradaptasi dengan lingkungan yang baru, meski masih terasa nuansa kangen rumah dirinya terus menguatkan agar bisa mencapai cita-citanya.
“Saya curhat ke mama mau pulang, lalu mama bilang, enggak ak apa-apa di sana saja, demi masa depan kamu, katanya mau jadi Dokter, kamu tenang aja, semua akan berjalan seperti biasa kok,” ceritanya.
Dirinya kembali termotivasi setelah mendengarkan nasihat dari sang Ibu, semangatnya semakin membara untuk meraih cita-citanya sebagai dokter.
“Dari kata-kata mama itu, saya mulai percaya diri dan semangat untuk meraih cita-cita saya menjadi dokter, saya percaya masa depan saya ada disini, untuk menjadi seorang dokter. Ini adalah bagian dari upaya saya untuk beradaptasi,” katanya.
Dirinya juga sangat bersyukur, dapat menjadi bagian dari kelas boarding School PT Timah Tbk.
