Maulan Aklil flag off kegiatan Pangkalpinang berlari 2023 dilanjutkan senam bersama Pemerintah Kota Pangkalpinang di Alun-Alun Taman Merdeka Kota Pangkalpinang, Minggu (29/10/2023).
“Saya mengapresiasi kegiatan lomba lari dan senam bersama ini, saya juga mengucapkan terima kasih kepada para peserta lomba lari maupun yang mengikuti senam bersama di Alun-Alun Taman Merdeka Kota Pangkalpinang dalam rangka memeriahkan Hari Jadi Pangkalpinang ke-266 Tahun,” ujar Molen, sapaan akrab Wali Kota.
Molen menyebut bahwa menggelorakan dan menyemarakkan olahraga massal seperti lomba lari ini menjadi ajang pencarian bakat di Kota Pangkalpinang yang pada gilirannya akan melahirkan calon-calon atlet yang berprestasi di level nasional.
“Dengan digelarnya kejuaraan lomba lari ini, tentunya akan membentuk karakter insan yang sehat, sekaligus sebagai salah satu langkah strategis kita dalam mengembangkan dan memajukan olahraga di Pangkalpinang Kota Beribu Senyuman ini,” ungkapnya.
Sedangkan senam bersama secara umum, tambah Molen, senam merupakan cabang olahraga yang bertujuan untuk melatih tubuh dengan melakukan gerakan-gerakan tertentu secara teratur, sadar dan terencana serta dilakukan secara sistematis.
“Senam bertujuan untuk membantu meningkatkan kebugaran jasmani bahkan juga untuk mengaitkannya dengan rohani, meningkatkan ketrampilan juga menanamkan nilai mental, spiritual kepada seseorang yang melakukan olahraga tersebut,” kata Molen.
Wali Kota Molen berpesan, kepada semua lapisan masyarakat untuk senantiasa mendorong keluarga untuk menggalakkan gemar ayo berolahraga. Menurutnya, untuk mendapat badan yang sehat dan tubuh yang kuat harus dimulai sejak dini.
